How many train derailments have we had in the U.S.?
In 2022, there were 1,044 instances of trains coming off their tracks. Broken or defective railroads are one of the most common causes of derailments, according to the FRA. Faulty or missing crossties — beams perpendicular to rails — triggered 5.6% of the derailments in 2022,
Because of so many derailments companies started hauling via trucks and that is the reason there are so many large trucks on our highways, in my opinion.
You would think by now that an app could be attached on the front of any train and view the tracks viability to danger before the train crosses any track. Where are our brain folks – they can make robots to work – why not a robot running a test run before the train to be sure its safe for the train?
With the way the system works today – why would I travel by train and what they are telegraphing us now that we will have people placed in all positions (called EQUITY) who aren’t trained. Doesn’t that make you feel safe.
We need to take that loose SCREW who is speaking that speak about equity and send him down the river of no return. We don’t need those kind of people running anything – much less their mouth.
