George W. Bush Exposed In Declassified 9/11 Memo

(RoyalPatriot.com )- According to an article in Business Insider, a 2004 memo appears to indicate that then-President George W. Bush attempted to hide the previous warnings from his intelligence agencies about an imminent attack by al Qaeda before the 9/11 attacks.

The memo, obtained by Business Insider, is related to a meeting in which ten members of the 9/11 commission questioned Bush and then-Vice President Cheney about the events leading up to the September 11 terror attack.

While the declassified memo is not a transcript of the meeting, Business Insider claims that it provides insights into Bush’s actions.

During the meeting, then-CIA Director George Tenet said Bush had told him the “threat was overseas.” Business Insider claims this is proof that George W. Bush was trying to hide from the public that the attack might happen on US soil despite warnings to the contrary.

The final report from the 9/11 Commission did not include Bush’s supposed attempts to “rewrite history,” according to Business Insider. But some commissioners who spoke with the outlet said they still want to know what Bush knew and why he failed to take action to stop the attack.

Richard Ben-Veniste, a former member of the 9/11 Commission, told Business Insider that he was never able to square Tenet’s “intense preoccupation” with a potential al-Qaeda attack with his claim that he never briefed Bush on the intelligence that Osama bin Laden was planning an attack on US soil.

According to Business Insider, the memo suggests that despite Tenet’s attempt to get the White House to take action, there didn’t seem to be any urgency from the White House to address the threat.

Business Insider claims that the declassified memo suggests that Bush wasn’t interested in taking action, which will no doubt fuel the conspiracy theories that the United States somehow let the 9/11 attacks happen to have a pretext for going to war in the Middle East.
