For starters – they have priced themselves out of business – the initial cost and then the cost to maintain it.

This is why I want no part of an electric car. You are sitting on a time bomb.
Just my opinion

Why Electric Cars Catch Fire And How To Prevent
October 19, 2022
Electric cars are no more likely to catch fire than any other type of car, but when they do, the results can be catastrophic. That’s because the high-voltage batteries that power electric cars store a lot of energy, and when they catch fire, they can release that energy in a matter of seconds. That’s what happened in May, when a Tesla Model S caught fire in a garage in Hong Kong. The fire spread quickly, and the car was engulfed in flames within minutes. The good news is that electric car fires are still rare. But as the number of electric cars on the road continues to grow, so does the risk of a major incident. So why do electric cars catch fire? There are a few reasons. One is that electric cars rely on high-voltage batteries to power their motors. These batteries can store a lot of energy, and if they’re damaged, that energy can be released suddenly. Another reason is that electric cars generate a lot of heat. The batteries, motors, and other electronic components can all generate heat, and if that heat isn’t properly managed, it can lead to a fire. Finally, electric cars have a lot of wiring. And like any other type of car, if that wiring is damaged, it can create a short circuit that can start a fire. The good news is that electric car fires are still relatively rare. That’s why it’s important for drivers to be aware of the risks and take steps to reduce the chance of a fire.

Toyota chief praised for warning about electric vehicles: He understands ‘the market isn’t ready’
Story by Fox News Staff • 1h ago
Environmentalists along with Democrat lawmakers have pushed for electric vehicles to take over the auto industry, forcing an economic shift that many including Toyota president Akio Toyoda have warned the U.S. is not ready for. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee responded to Toyoda’s concerns on “Fox & Friends” Tuesday, affirming that U.S. infrastructure is not prepared for exclusively electric vehicles and calling out the hypocrisy from climate activists.

MIKE HUCKABEE: There’s a reason that I drive Toyota and Lexus vehicles is because their president actually has some common sense. He understands that the marketplace is not ready to go exclusively to electric vehicles. We just don’t have the infrastructure. And in order to get the electricity to make those cars run, we’re going to have to use the very fuel, the fossil fuel that the environmentalists think is so evil. So it makes no sense. But this is a political agenda. This is not an agenda about the environment or about the economy. This is an agenda of people who want to see something happen. They don’t care how it happens. They don’t care what it disrupts, but they’re going to push for it. And I just thought, bravo to the president of Toyota for speaking some sense into the issue.

The Communist Dem’s have no common sense (brains).

The Communist Dem’s hate the U.S. so bad – they will do anything to hurt the country. Fossil fuels is one of those things. First, Bush sent Mexico car factories and now they stopped the production of fossil fuels; thereby, taking away the livelihood of the average citizen.

Why would anyone vote for one of these communist Dem’s is beyond common sense? It tells me a lot about those people because they don’t have any brains either.
