Just think how many years we have been trying to ‘FIX THE BORDER” and still to this day that has not happened. Why not?
With the Biden agenda – the border is like a sieve – before they enter they even change clothes and spiffy up with their papers/money in their hands. That does indicate all of this is preplanned.
The same people are in office and they have done nothing to CLOSE THE BORDER. Now it is wide open.
Vote Republican – the Democrats want the border open. They love riots, crime, and spending our money.

CRITIQUE OF ADELSON, BUFFETT, AND GATES IMPASSE
Posted on July 11, 2014 by kommonsentsjane
Reading the New York Times’ opinion page on July 10, 2014, entitled “Break the Immigration Impasse,” with the sponsors being Sheldon Adelson, Warren Buffett, and Bill Gates, stated that the three of them varied in their politics and differed in their preferences about the details of an immigration reform bill. This is all well and good! But, I did not read one word about the “border.” How many times, all of you intelligent men, do we have to go through passing an immigration bill and not “CLOSING THE BORDER.” I know you men have travelled throughout the world and know how entering and leaving a country is handled. So why should it be any different in this country? We have immigration laws that are on the books that are not being enforced. At this moment, if the bills that are now on the books would be enforced, not one bill would need to be passed.
The thing that makes me angry is that you blame all of this mess on the 535 people and do not mention “this leader and the Senate” at all. The President and Senator Reid in the Senate keep stalling the bills from the House. Senator Reid keeps dumping all bills and has caused the present crisis for political reasons. I know that two of the three of you are Democrats and have given him tons of money to put us in the position we are in and you continue to support him – that tells me where the American people stand – out in the cold. We have to stop thinking in terms of a particular party in order to put this country on the right track.
You talk about universities. Yes, we need to talk about universities and the professors in particular. These children attend these universities and what do they have when they finish – they can’t even pass any one of your own three corporations’ exams to become an employee. A lot of them cannot read or write. The solution is to examine these universities and quit discriminating against conservative professors and stop the brain- washing.
The paragraph I thought most interesting was “For the future, the United States should take all steps to ensure that every prospective immigrant follows all rules and that people breaking these rules, including any facilitators, are severely punished.” This is a very good idea and it needs to start at the top of the spectrum.
Also your sentence, “You don’t have to agree on everything in order to cooperate on matters about which you are reasonably close to agreement. It’s time that this brand of thinking finds its way to Washington.” I have to agree with all of you but I think you are posing your question to the wrong segment. Didn’t our leader state, “it is my way or the highway?”
In your paragraph which states, “Whatever the precise provisions of a law, it’s time for the House to draft and pass a bill that reflects both our country’s humanity and its self-interest.” I differ in that we need to review the bills that have been passed on the subject of immigration, take them off the shelf, review them, and apply those that are appropriate for the present time. If we keep passing more bills and not enforcing the ones we have – what good is that – pray tell me?
The next to last paragraph I thought was interesting, “A Congress that does nothing about these problems is extending an irrational policy by default; that is, if lawmakers don’t act to change it, it stays the way it is, irrational.” In this paragraph you left out a few words. It should read, “A PRESIDENT, A SENATE, AND a Congress that does nothing, etc.”
In your last paragraph and the last sentence should have read: “It is time for the President, the Senate, and 535 of America’s citizens to remember what they owe to the 318 million who employ them” instead of “It’s time for 535 of America’s citizens to remember, etc.”
In my heart of hearts, we thank the three of you for your effort but you did not cover the bases and make a home run. You hit a foul ball by not including our leader and the Senate. These two segments of the population have been the problem and not the solution.
