New DOJ Documents Show They Targeted Trump For Election Claims
(RoyalPatriot.com )- The ultra-partisan House Select Committee that claims to be investigating the origins of the so-called “insurrection” that took place on January 6 last year has revealed “blunt and direct” language that was used at a White House meeting with then-President Donald Trump in January of 2021.
Court filings revealed some of the details of a meeting with Trump, who was reportedly considering firing members of the Department of Justice who were not willing to conduct an investigation into evidence that suggested widespread misconduct and fraud took place in the 2020 presidential election.
Trump was widely accused of pushing “baseless” claims of voter fraud, but data compiled by Matt Braynard and the Vote Integrity Project showed that in many states, tens of thousands of people voted while also on the National Change of Address database – suggesting that double-voting could have occurred. Combined with the fact that election laws were changed last minute in states like Pennsylvania, and there was a lot to investigate with regards to the 2020 election.
Trump wanted his administration to do more, but few were willing to go up against the establishment.
The former president reportedly pushed so hard that some members of the Department of Justice threatened to resign, and Trump considered installing DOJ attorney Jeffrey Clark as the acting attorney general to begin an investigation.
The court filings reveal how on January 3, Trump considered restaffing the entire department in favor of launching an investigation – but ultimately decided to leave things as they were.
“I know that these two here, they’re not going to do anything. They’re not going to fix this. But that’s the way it is, and I’m going to let it go anyway,” Trump reportedly said.
What does this show? Well, it shows that Trump was trying his hardest to ensure that Democrats didn’t get away with election fraud and that misconduct didn’t go uninvestigated – but The Hill reported extensively on these court documents in a way that portrayed the former president as trying to push conspiracy theories and initiate some kind of coup.
There’s no wonder the people hate the press, is there?
