Yes, it makes me so proud when we see the military traveling or protecting us at the various airports when we travel. In fact, at the Texas airport there were a lot of sailors sitting on their duffel bags waiting for their ride. With all of us thanking them for their service.

Fellowship of the Minds

When Mrs. Dust, Trail Jr. and I visited Boston this week for an afternoon among the tall ships we saw an unexpected sight.

Not every floating vessel was wind driven. Not every boat was tall.

Unlike so many sailors this week, not all were wearing their dress whites. Not all were acting as friendly ambassadors from their respective nations. 

There were also the ordinary working boats, shuttling goods and passengers across the harbor, between neighboring ports and Boston, and the ferry going to and from nearby Provincetown at the end of Cape Cod which hooks back in toward the mainland.

And then there were these guys…

They were not dressed for comfort or show. They were not shaking hands, kissing babies or playing music to entertain the crowds.
