Why and for what purpose did Jon Stewart and Bill O’Reilly get into a shouting match over “White Privilege?”  Why would two rich white people want to discuss this subject unless it was to convey how their successes came about in order to help others to get an education and work up the ladder as most people do.  But to continue to marginalize the white men as these two, only tells you this subject was selected for the controversy it would bring.  Do they feel guilty about their successes?  Why do people who come from nothing and get to be something always hum this same tune?  Instead of bitching – do something to help others by giving others an opportunity instead of trying to knock people down – whether it is O’Reilly, or Jon Stewart.  

Beyoncé is right, we have to teach children of all colors to reach for the stars and not be satisfied until we do with education and hard work.

This thing called “white privilege” always seems to be a thorn in all cultures. What is this thing called “white privilege?”  My skin is white and the family in which I was born didn’t have any special privileges growing  up.  My neighborhood was a working class neighborhood in which the father worked or owned a business, the Mom was a homemaker, and the kids were just kids – attending school, doing chores around the house and neighborhood to make a few cents (learning responsibility), and playing with the other kids in the neighborhood.  Early on it was drilled into my head – if you want to be successful you have to work for it because it is not going to come to you – you have to work for it and the sky is the limit.    

The definition of white privilege is a term for societal privileges, existing in predominantly white societies, that benefit white people beyond what is commonly experienced by non-white people in the same social, political, or economic circumstances.  The definition has changed in that you now have other cultures who have societal privileges.  Even though they don’t want to admit it.

European whites, who were the Pilgrims and landed on the Plymouth Rock, came to America in 1620.  Many of the people who came to the New World came to escape religious persecution.  With this present administration, they are doing the same thing to the Christians.  The colonists flourished with assistance from Native American Indians.  New world grains such as corn kept the colonists from starving while, in Virginia tobacco provided a valuable cash crop.  From the start of the country, whites and now all cultures are able to pass along their wealth in the form of inheritances.  So if anyone has any grip, it should be the Native American Indians.

But now, with the advent of  rich other cultural people, you have the same situation in that you do see classes of Black, Hispanic, Asian, American Indian, etc., whereby you have levels of culture that associate with their supposedly cultural class.  Even so, you will continue to see the troublemakers continue to pound on that topic  of “white privilege.”  

The way I see it is – the notion of white privilege is what is the difference between rights and privileges.  The privileges from which whites as a group are supposed to benefit are social goods to which all people aspire and are not privileged.  A privilege is something that you or I might not need.  But, a right is the opposite.  This is where the white-privilege argument emerges.  After that it condemns whites for possessing features that should be available to all. But even among whites as a group – how many whites have those opportunities?  This opportunity has nothing to do with reality in the lived experience of the majority of whites, who do not have access to this “white privilege.”  What really happens to the majority of whites is a “daily, means-to-means subsistence which is a right and does not make any sense for anyone to feel guilty or have no desire.  As usual, it is something which is “smoked” by the troublemakers and the smoke permeates the air – so their will be a misunderstanding of the difference between privileges and rights.  

A good example which happens every day.  A person who does not have any ambition, is perfectly happy sitting on his front porch watching the neighborhood drive off to work, and drawing his government check, and laughing that these people are so stupid. Later, when these same neighborhood people who worked every day start lifting themselves up and buying new cars, houses, etc., this same front porch government check person starts hollering  why don’t I have enough money to buy a new car, a house, etc., “where are my privileges? ”  My answer – go work for it and you can have the same privilege.  

This white privilege is strictly a distraction and has functioned as a social tool to continue to divide the country – which is the purpose of the Democratic Socialist Party and the present administration.  That is why people from other countries come to America.  They know it is a rich country because the people and their ancestors have worked hard to bring it to this level.  But they come here and do not want to work hard.  They want to change it to be like where they came from – nothing but chaos; and, in the meantime, reap the harvest and take over.  They all seem to love their own country; but, do not want to stay in their country and fight for it because they are too damn lazy.  Pardon my English!   So, don’t talk to me about  “WHITE PRIVILEGE.”
