KOMMONSENTSJANE – Journalists Are Fact-Checking The Democratic National Convention – Here is what they found..

8/21/2024

Remember when you vote – if you are voting your choice will be Marxism/slavery or the Republican platform called the Constitution/Freedom. Don’t vote for ANY DEMOCRAT/MARXISTS who are backed by Obama and the One World Order.

Where are the elected government officials – Congress and Senate people? Nothing but show-casing the likes of Oprah – who are STREET PEOPLE and HAVE NOT BEEN ELECTED TO ANYTHING AND has been towing the rope for Obama

Why are they not attending THEIR CONVENTION and speaking?

Why: They don’t want people to know they are going along with Obama/Pelosi’s fleecing of the real Democratic Party – who are calling themselves Progressives which in plain English is Marxism,

SINCE THEY ARE ALL UP FOR RE-ELECTION.

Folks, THEY ARE BACKING IRAN/HAMAS (terrorists). They have given our taxpayer money to terrorists.

(He is a fake. His father tried the same thing Obama is doing and was kicked out of their government. Obama is working with the One World Order/Soros/Biden to put us on the fast track to HELL. That was the purpose of the OPEN BORDER to over run our country with illegals and pay them to cause trouble at different times. They are being paid to be here.)

(Folks, he does not stand for our Constitution – he is a Muslim and as you can see they have infiltrated our government as elected officials and are backing the MIDDLE EAST NOT ISRAEL. He is nothing but a street THUG.)

In the lead-up to the Democratic National Convention, there were plenty of examples of a double standard in how Republicans and Democrats were presented by the media, perhaps most egregiously CBS’s social media posts about the presidential candidates’ plan to eliminate taxes on tips.

One of those things was not like the other, many people pointed out on X.

Time magazine’s flattering portrait of Vice President Kamala Harris also drew conservatives’ ire, coming so soon after the magazine chose not to use in print the now iconic photo of former President Donald Trump holding his fist in the air after the assassination attempt. And coverage of the Democratic National Convention this week — in particular the speeches by Hillary Clinton and Barack and Michelle Obama — has been friendly and warm. (”With humor and hope, Obamas warn against Trump,” NPR’s headline said; the Los Angeles Times gave us “Handing off the mantle of hope.”)This New Ear Spa Device Designed by a 70-yr-old Engineer is Sweeping US

But there is fact-checking going on as the Democrats meet in Chicago, although you might not see it on the front page.

As they did during the Republican National Convention in July, several news organizations are looking skeptically at some of the speakers’ more dubious statements, and challenging some of the claims, even when doing so benefits Trump. Here are a few of the statements that fact-checkers have debunked this week.

On the website FactCheck.org, a project of The Annenberg Public Policy Center, a team of four fact-checkers, concluded “Several claims by (President Joe) Biden, and some from other Democrats at the Chicago convention, missed the mark.”

Among them: Sen. Dick Durbin saying that millions of jobs had been lost during the Trump administration without noting that the pandemic was the reason and Biden saying that Trump “will do everything to ban abortion nationwide,” although Trump has said he would not sign a national abortion ban. Similarly, Durbin said in his speech that in vitro fertilization would end in “Trump’s America” although Trump has said he supports the availability of IVF.

The FactCheck.org report also noted, “Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez said Trump is ‘threatening to slash Medicare,’ while Biden claimed that Trump wants to cut Medicare and Social Security. But Trump has consistently said he will not cut either program.”

The report challenged Biden’s claim that his administration was responsible for a decline in the murder rate, saying, “Experts say presidents have little to do with the changes in murder or violent crime while they are in office,” and said that the president’s “boasts” about lowering inflation were misleading: “Growth in inflation has been steadily declining from its peak of 9.1% for the 12 months ending in June 2022, but overall, it is still up 19.4% since the start of Biden’s presidency.”

And the fact-checkers also provided important context for Trump’s infamous “bloodbath” comment — he was talking figuratively about economic consequences if Biden were to have been reelected — and his joke about being a “dictator” in a second administration, acknowledging that Trump had said he wouldn’t be a dictator — “except for Day 1″ when he pledged to close the southern border and expand oil drilling. This New Ear Spa Device Designed by a 70-yr-old Engineer is Sweeping US

Over at PolitiFact, a fact-checking website that’s part of the nonprofit Poynter Institute, a report examined the veracity of claims made on the second night of the convention by Barack and Michelle Obama, Sen. Bernie Sanders, New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and New York Sen. Chuck Schumer, among others.

The report rightly noted that the Obamas “energized convention attendees” (although to be fair, so did the oldest and youngest delegates from West Virginia when casting their votes).

But then PolitiFact rated as “half true” Barack Obama’s claim that the Biden administration has produced “15 million jobs, higher wages, lower health care costs,” noting that some of those jobs were restored as the pandemic subsided, and that over the course of the administration, wages have lagged behind inflation, though they have outpaced inflation in the past two years.A Simple Tool for Moving Heavy Furniture

“Whether health care costs were lower overall is a trickier question, because there’s great variation from family to family and person to person. However, U.S. health care expenditures as a percentage of gross domestic product peaked during the pandemic in 2020 and have since fallen roughly to prepandemic levels. This represented the biggest sustained decline in decades,” the PolitiFact report said.

The fact-checkers awarded a “mostly false” rating to Sanders’ claim that “unemployment was soaring” when Biden took office, noting, “In April 2020, at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the unemployment rate surged to 14.8% as millions of Americans lost their jobs. But by the time Biden took office in January 2021, the rate had fallen to 6.4%, and it continued to fall that year.”

When FiveThirtyEight founder Nate Silver appeared on The Megyn Kelly Show earlier this month, the pair had an exchange about the fairness of the media, in which Silver said there are a lot of journalists, “the majority even maybe,” who care about the truth and who are able to separate their own personal interests from their journalism. Kelly scoffed, saying, “That’s insane.”

“I’m not going to deny there are some, but the majority, absolutely not. Look at the news coverage,” Kelly said. As an example, she cited the coverage of Trump’s two-hour conversation with Elon Musk on the social media platform X.

She has a point: Politico called that conversation a “catastrophe,” Reuters said Trump rambled and sounded like he had a lisp. That same Reuters article also said that Musk didn’t challenge Trump’s claims about immigrants and the price of bacon.

But Musk, despite his foray into citizen journalism, had no professional or ethical mandate to ferret out truth in conversation with the man he has enthusiastically endorsed for president. Journalists do. And fact-checking websites like Factcheck.org and PolitiFact — as well as other operations run by news organizations including the BBC, The Washington Post, Reuters and The Associated Press — offer at least context for press skeptics.

It remains to be seen, however, how rigorous the fact-checking will be during Harris’s acceptance speech Thursday night.

KOMMONSENTSJANE – What Did Obama Do For the Blacks Except Divide the Country??

8/20/2024

The reason for the hate of President Trump – because he helped the blacks. What did Obama do after eight years – NOT ONE DAMN THING FOR THE BLACKS; but, weaponized the government which is treason, in my opinion.

The problem with both of the Obamas is they DON’T KNOW HOW THE WORLD WORKS. A good example is they are helping Pelosi in running the country into the ground with their leadership. Look at the economy/debt/border/immigration and on and on.

They are not using the Constitution because they are communists. Obama/One World Order has tricked Biden/Pelosi and have taken over the government by weaponizing all of it. Now Pelosi/Obama have kicked out Biden and placed Kamala Harris who is a known Communists/Marxists.

Michelle didn’t mention their party was in power with an Obama weaponized Biden government and took it to the lowest level in history while using Biden/Pelosi/Schumer/Soros/One World Order to open the borders and pay immigrants.

It was pointed at Trump, yes. But it’s a reframing that rewires the conversation of race and advantage in a striking way. In six words that will likely have more staying power, if not more success, than “we go high.”

Both of them are moaning/groaning when they have endowed themselves financially and to hell with the rest of the black people – five homes – when a lot of people can’t pay for one.

They continue to blather to STIR THE POT.

The left has had the reins for the last almost four years and what did they do. They invoked the WOKE in all phases of business/etc. How did that work out?

Look at the country and the states and they are all in a MELL OF A HESS.

Look at the economy/border/crime/etc., all at the hands of the DEMOCRAT MARXISTS.

So, now they want the reins again – when they have taken the country to its lowest level.

In her speech at the Democratic National Convention in 2016, Michelle Obama coined one of the defining phrases of the political era: “When they go low, we go high.”

Going high did not work. Donald Trump won that election. While many of his supporters expressed discomfort with his go-low approach to politics, far more embraced it. Trump, despite his pedigree as a New York billionaire, would embarrass and attack and disparage the perceived elites, and many Americans loved him for it.Why Are People Who Sit for a Long Time Rushing to Buy This Cushion?

Lesson learned. In her speech Tuesday night at the 2024 Democratic convention, Obama didn’t explicitly revoke the “we go high” mantra, but she made clear that a different moment called for a different approach. It wasn’t that the former first lady went low, exactly, but she was unsparing in her disdain for and criticisms of her husband’s successor.

In one of the more memorable stretches of her speech, she equated the Democratic nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris, with the majority of Americans who never enjoyed Trump’s wealth and privilege — and the safety net that accompanies them.

(That might be true for some – but, not for her. She never was in the “cotton fields.” She always was a trouble maker.

Harris “understands that most of us will never be afforded the grace of failing forward,” Obama said. “We will never benefit from the affirmative action of generational wealth. If we bankrupt a business or choke in a crisis, we don’t get a second, third or fourth chance. If things don’t go our way, we don’t have the luxury of whining or cheating others to get further ahead. No.

“We don’t get to change the rules so we always win,” she continued. “If we see a mountain in front of us, we don’t expect there to be an escalator waiting to take us to the top. We put our heads down. We get to work.”

Trump’s name wasn’t used but it didn’t need to be. That line about the escalator, a call back to Trump’s 2015 campaign launch, made the point obvious, if it wasn’t already.

But there are six words in that stretch that extend well beyond Trump. Obama used a phrase that succinctly and elegantly reframes the ongoing debate over inequality in the United States and how it might be addressed: “the affirmative action of generational wealth.”

It’s concise, centered on two familiar concepts. The first is “affirmative action,” the term used to describe programs generally focused on ensuring that non-White Americans have access to resources and institutions they might not otherwise have. And the second is “generational wealth,” the transition of economic (and social) power through families and, at times, communities.New Mexico: New Windows Available If You Own A Home In These Zip Codes

These are descriptors of elements in American society that are in tension. If you are a recipient of generational wealth, you don’t need affirmative action to ensure you have access. If you are someone who would benefit from affirmative action, you generally are not someone with access to generational wealth. Of course, you might be, which is one of the outliers used to criticize affirmative action programs: They often center more on demographic traits than on economic class.

The linchpin of Obama’s phrase, though, is its shortest word: “of.” She isn’t contrasting affirmative action and generational wealth as conduits to power and success, she’s overlapping them. She’s noting that generational wealth is a form of affirmative action, here in the person of Trump but certainly beyond that.

How? Because generational wealth presents opportunities to people who might otherwise not have access to them: legacy admissions at Ivy League colleges, tutors and training, vehicles and housing that make entry-level jobs or internships more feasible. These are benefits that derive from social and economic class — a form of affirmative action. This is how reframing a subject works; it presents familiar information in a new context.Walmart Shoppers Say "This Works Like Magic On Wrinkles".

The natural response, of course, is that a parent bolstering her child’s success is different from a government program that includes an effort to ensure that Black Americans have equal access. But this is the point of the word “generational.” We’re not simply considering a rich parent and the advantages they might offer. We’re focused on patterns of wealth transitioning from parent to child over and over again. And those patterns, traced backward over surprisingly few decades, very quickly bring us back to racial divisions.

There is no question that Black and White Americans did not have equal access to economic success in the 1950s or 1960s. They didn’t in later decades, either, thanks to ongoing overt discrimination (like being unable to rent an apartment) and discriminatory patterns built in to lending and jobs systems (such as making it harder to obtain a mortgage for homes in some neighborhoods). Nearly every American has a parent or grandparent who was alive in the era of explicit discrimination — that’s two generations away. Generational wealth, then, almost necessarily means wealth rooted in an American economy where explicit discrimination existed. It also means wealth that still enjoys the sorts of systemic protections and advantages, including ones from the government, that are pilloried when focused on addressing historical inequality.

One of the central debates over race in recent years has centered on existence or extent of racism embedded in American social and legal systems. The rise of the Black Lives Matter movement, focused on systemic racism in law enforcement, increased the number of White Americans — specifically, White Democrats — who indicated that they thought discrimination was a central cause for the lower incomes and worse housing many Black Americans experience.

With six words, Michelle Obama rewires America’s conversation on race

With six words, Michelle Obama rewires America’s conversation on race

The biennial General Social Survey, reflecting Republicans’ broad rejection of the idea of systemic racism, finds that they are much more likely to indicate that Black Americans have worse economic positions due to lack of motivation.

Republicans reject the idea of systemic racism, in part, because they view it as an unfair and unpatriotic disparagement of the United States. It’s in part, too, because the narrative of America overcoming explicit racism during the Civil Rights movement suggests that the fight is over. Many point to Michelle Obama’s husband: How could racism exist in an America that elected a Black man as president?

It’s also in part because the Black Lives Matter movement and questions about racism in general are coded as Democratic issues and therefore subject to partisan response. Black Lives Matter led to the right embracing Blue Lives Matter. Discussions of systemic racism were met with many White Republicans viewing themselves as victims of anti-White racism (to Trump’s political benefit). Affirmative action programs became a useful target for demonstrating that sort of anti-White bias.

Michelle Obama knows this. Her line overlapping affirmative action and generational wealth wasn’t offering “affirmative action” as a pejorative term. It was, instead, contextualizing a different way in which people are boosted by circumstances that aren’t always under their control. It was a defense of affirmative action programs that noted how wealth built in an explicitly unfair economy was its own form of unearned advantage.

It was pointed at Trump, yes. But it’s a reframing that rewires the conversation of race and advantage in a striking way. In six words that will likely have more staying power, if not more success, than “we go high.”

***

She must not know what going high means – the Democrat Marxists – don’t know the mean of high since their visions is “keep the blacks low” or you can’t control them. Right? A good example is the business of labeling the DEMOCRATS – WOKE/DEI which is the lowest rung on the ladder.

Even Kamala is labeled as a WOKE/DEI.

That is their goal is to label the blacks so they will always be slaves to the Democrat/Marxists.

KOMMONSENTSJANE – Democrats Are Learning That Hating Trump Is Not The Same As Governing – 2.

8/21/2024

Democrats: Again, it’s your fault that Donald Trump is the force he is, and it is your fault there is a need for such a man as Donald Trump to fight back against your corrupt governance, disdain for our Constitutional rights, corrupt state-controlled propaganda media cohorts, and the disaster you have wrought since you stole your way into power.

The Democrats are in the same trouble they get into every time they’re running the country: People hate their policies so much that the only recourse is to pretend they’re not actually in charge.

Democrats Are Learning That Hating Trump Is Not The Same As Governing

By Jeff M. Lewis

From the time Donald and Melania Trump descended the escalator to announce his candidacy for President of the United States, there has been little other than a torrent of hate directed at him, his family, and all who support him. We have endured the past several years being required to account for how we could support such a man.

For me, it was simple. My support for Donald Trump in 2016 and 2020 (clearly explained to family and friends) came down to the three pillars of American exceptionalism and success: the Constitution, national security, and the economy.

We need not look very far to see just how horribly elected Democrats have done on all three.

Donald J. Trump and the MAGA movement remain a threat to the Democrats, and it’s their fault. They have governed over the past 14 years against the prevailing will of the people, by hook or by crook. They have fully employed every branch of government and every government agency against the American people at every opportunity. Their cancerous quest for power knows no bounds.

On the Constitution, those who have been paying attention can clearly see that America has a two-tiered justice system. If one supports Democrats and their pet causes, there will be little accountability, and there will be no mention of one’s bad behavior in the press. However, if one is seen as a political opponent of the Democrat party, it’s off to the gulag. Conservatives and MAGA supporters know well the plight of the January 6 detainees: cruel and unusual solitary confinement, lack of due process and representation, and ruinous consequences for exercising their constitutional rights.

Furthermore, no American who supports the Constitution and has taken an oath to support and defend it can, at the same time, be in favor of “packing the court.” This will forever alter American jurisprudence in a way that will deny citizens their right to redress their grievances against the government. To do this would forever prevent any opposition from arguing the unconstitutionality of any law the legislative branch passed. The courts would be nothing more than a rubber stamp for the legislature and the executive branch, and no longer an independent check on their powers.

Image: Trump is in the Democrats’ way. Internet meme; creator unknown.

On national security, international law known as the Nuremberg Code prevents medical experimentation on humans. An unconscionable breach of legal precedent has resulted in military service members being required to get the COVID vaccines. The vaccines are experimental, don’t prevent infection, and have serious negative side effects. One need not have only religious objections to the vaccine; there are plenty of additional reasons for concern. Amazingly, the current regime would rather weaken our military readiness with their purge than allow an international legal precedent to stand and allow service members to make their own decisions about the shot. Military readiness has and will continue to suffer, as we are now learning that military recruiting goals are falling short.

In addition, one cannot consider our national security and the security of citizens in communities across America without a review of the crises at our southern border. The Biden Crime Family has enriched and empowered Mexican drug cartels. The open border has resulted in a deeper, more entrenched oppression of illegal immigrants, and it has wrought not only their carnage and deaths along their perilous trek to America but the drugs flood across the border, as well. Deadly Fentanyl overdoses are killing scores of American citizens every day.

The economy is in recession, and no amount of spin or re-defining what actually constitutes a recession can change the data. Most maddening, it was all predictable—and predicted. Since last year, economists have warned that unrestrained government spending would increase inflation. When combined with the Doomsday regime’s promised attack on the U.S. petroleum industry and the concomitant rise in gas prices, a weakened dollar combines with the high cost of producing and delivering goods and services to weaken every American family’s financial outlook.

Democrat party governance is to raise taxes, spend billions on IRS enforcement, ignore the low workforce participation rate (still far below pre-pandemic levels), and gaslight Americans that we have a strong labor market because unemployment is low, which negates all the rest of the compounding negative data.

Democrats: It’s your fault that Donald Trump is the force he is because every time you speak you insult us with your lies, and we are tired of it.

America was stronger and was on the rise when Donald Trump was President. An objective examination of every metric as it relates to those three essential pillars—the Constitution, national security, and the economy—provides irrefutable evidence of Democrat malpractice, malfeasance, an inexcusable breach of trust, and a violation of their oath of office that has weakened America.

Therefore, let’s reflect on this quote of the year, by Dan Gelernter in an article for American Greatness:

The Democrats are in the same trouble they get into every time they’re running the country: People hate their policies so much that the only recourse is to pretend they’re not actually in charge.

Evidenced by their quest for unrestrained power and their disdain for having to earn Americans’ votes, the Democrats’ only play under the shadow of the wreckage they have caused is to attempt to eliminate the opposition. They cannot compete in the arena of ideas, and they have no results to stand on. From the time the Democrat Party held their federal legislative majority in 2009, they have governed against the will of the people. They use the deep state for their own nefarious purposes, and recoil at the notion they must be held accountable.

America is languishing in a cold civil war. During America’s Civil War of the 1860s, President Abraham Lincoln and the Union gained victories under General Ulysses Grant. Lincoln said to Grant’s critics, “He fights.” During World War II, General George Patton was successful, and the Nazis feared him. As distasteful as his speech, his habits, or his actions may have been, he scared the hell out of America’s enemies, and he never wavered from the relentless pursuit of victory.

With the current civil war underway, America needs a fighter in the Oval Office. Donald Trump is that fighter, which is why he is such a threat to the Democrats.

There are those who hate America and want to tear it down, and there are those, like Donald Trump (and us), who know that America is the last, greatest hope for humanity. A rising tide of American success will “lift all boats.” It is the Democrats’ fault that Donald Trump is such an electoral threat; their continued persecution, their J6 Committee, and the deep state which supports it all have only solidified his support.

The Democrats’ hate for Donald Trump is not congruent with governing. They did not support Donald Trump, they had nothing to do with his success, and therefore they cannot destroy his support or wrest it from him.

I am reminded of a warning, provided in the original Star Wars movie by Obi-wan Kenobi: “If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can imagine.”

Friends! Patriots! Rise, and gear up. Be lovers of your Freedom, and anxious to defend it.

I’m voting for the second Amendment.

I’m voting for the next Supreme Court Justice and defending the traditional composition and independence of the Court.

I’m voting for the Electoral College, and the Republic we live in.

I’m voting for the Police, and law and order.
