TAG: Start-Up Recycling Facilities/Baytown, TX.

In case you missed it, we recently announced the successful startup of one of the largest advanced recycling facilities in North America – down in Baytown, Texas.

Here’s why that’s so important…

ExxonMobil’s Baytown facility can now process more than 80 million pounds of plastic waste per year, and we plan to build other advanced recycling facilities at many of our manufacturing sites around the world. Doing so would give us the capacity to process up to 1 billion pounds of plastic waste annually, by year-end 2026.

As we’ve said before, advanced recycling can help accelerate a circular economy and address the challenge of plastic waste. This facility is a huge part of that.
