Each day they have selected a different person – even one who was put in office in 2021 which tells me they are not serious. They state they don’t trust McCarthy. They will find in life that you HAVE TO at times work with people who you don’t like and you will be a better person from that experience to get the job done.

Yesterday, the American people witnessed The U.S. House paralyzed by about 20 Republicans.   Congress is being held hostage by the group of 20 because they don’t want Kevin McCarthy elected speaker of the House. Their obstreperous behavior is nothing new, they believe their dysfunctional behavior represents the “wants” of the American people.  To that end, they should read John F. Kennedy’s book, Profiles if Courage.

In 1956, Senator John F. Kennedy won the Pulitzer Prize for his book, Profiles in Courage, a series of short biographies describing acts of bravery and integrity by eight United States Senators.  The book profiles senators who defied the opinions of their party and constituents to do what they felt was right and suffered severe criticism and losses in popularity because of their actions.

In my opinion, the book should be required reading for every member of our Senate and House. I…
