Overdose deaths from fentanyl and other synthetic opioids hit another record in the United States. According to data from the health authorities, between February 2021 and February 2022, almost 109,000 people lost their lives for this reason.
What are facts about fentanyl?
Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is up to 50 times stronger than heroin and 100 times stronger than morphine. It is a major contributor to fatal and nonfatal overdoses in the U.S. 1 There are two types of fentanyl: pharmaceutical fentanyl and illicitly manufactured fentanyl. Both are considered synthetic opioids.
Common sense would tell anyone that you cannot use this because if you buy it on the street – you have no idea of how it was made and the strength. When you take this chance, you are putting your life on the line. That is what is happening, people are taking that chance in trusting the seller and lose their life.
What person in their right mind would do this? Parents need to stress this to their children. You are going to lose your life when you “play stupid.” There is no way you can win.
I do not feel sorry for any person that would put their life in the hands of any “drug” person selling drugs on the street or anywhere.
