Kennedy Breaks Down Biden’s Power Plan: ‘Wind, Solar, And Wishful Thinking’

Louisiana Senator John Kennedy ripped into Biden’s green energy push at the expense of the American taxpayers. Biden mocked the oil company during negotiations and refuses to allow them to dig new lines.

Kennedy began, “President Biden’s energy policy is wind, solar and wishful thinking. And that’s not going to power the most powerful economy and all of human history…I’m disappointed in Mr. [Gene] Sperling. It’s time for the games to end.

We’re in a hell of a mess here. And inflation is hitting my people so hard, they’re coughing up bones. Our national debt is greater than our national output. Crime is way up. The border’s wide open. Respect for our institutions is way down.

70% of the people think this country is headed in the wrong direction. And the economists who work for President Biden know this.”

Kennedy continued, “The only way to get the price of gasoline down is to increase the supply. The only way to increase the supply of gasoline is to increase the supply of oil. The only way you increase the supply of oil is for the Biden administration to get its boot off the neck of the oil and gas industry.”

Kennedy concluded, “He hates them. I mean, you know, he mocked them. He, the president mocked him yesterday. And they’re coming to the White House, and he won’t even agree to meet with them. I mean, when somebody acts like they don’t care, sometimes it’s not an act.”

Biden escalated a war of words with Chevron CEO Michael Wirth Tuesday after the country’s second-largest oil company rejected the president’s “political rhetoric” about high gas prices.

“He’s mildly sensitive. I didn’t know they’d get their feelings hurt that quickly,” Biden said at the White House when a reporter asked about Wirth’s rebuttal.

“We need more refining capacity. This idea that they don’t have oil to drill and to bring up is simply not true,” Biden said. “We ought to be able to work something out whereby they’re able to increase refining capacity and still not give up on transitioning to renewable energy.”

It’s all about timing. Obviously, oil is a depleting resource and the nation will have to explore alternatives in the future but pushing a green deal in the midst of inflation, while fuel and interest rates are at an all-time high, is just nutty.

People are struggling to pay for their $100 tank of gas however many times a week they need to fill up—Hardly anyone is ready to dash out and buy an electric car and charging stations aren’t readily available everywhere, yet. The tech isn’t there. The industry isn’t ready and neither are the people.
