The 15-member ICJ, or World Court, is the principal judicial organ of the United Nations, seated at The Hague in the Netherlands. It is charged with settling legal disputes submitted to it by states and giving advisory opinions on legal questions from U.N. bodies and agencies.

UN military personnel can be called upon to: Protect civilians and UN personnel; Monitor a disputed border; Monitor and observe peace processes in post-conflict areas.

Well, where are these UN military personnel in this war between Ukraine/Russia? Why aren’t they monitoring this disputed war border

NATO’s purpose is to guarantee the freedom and security of its members through political and military means. POLITICAL – NATO promotes democratic values and enables members to consult and cooperate on defense and security-related issues to solve problems, build trust and, in the long run, prevent conflict.
