OH? GOOGLE CHANGED ITS MIND.
It looks like Google is protecting Biden/Democrats/Buttigieg by not allowing a heading.
It looks like Biden/Democrats/Buttigieg are affected by the Dunning-Kruger effect, in psychology, a cognitive bias whereby people with limited knowledge or competence in a given intellectual or social domain greatly overestimate their own knowledge or competence in that domain relative to objective criteria or to the performance of their peers or of people in general.
About 200,000 shipping containers stranded off California coast in supply-chain pandemic disruptions
Since the Unions are all bottled-necked up to their ears in negotiating a new contract and don’t have time to work, a suggestion is to use some of our 1.3 M active duty service members who are suppose to protect and defend the people and the interests of the U.S. to relieve this bottleneck? They do this kind of heavy lifting all over the world to take pressure off of dangerous situations. Maybe, if we say “pretty please,” they can help in this pressure cooker situation?
Bet they could solve this problem in a minute.
Five days after President Biden announced operating two California ports 24/7, as many as 200,000 shipping containers are stranded off the coast waiting to dock in Los Angeles, the port director said Monday.
“We have about two weeks’ worth of work sitting at anchor right now,” Gene Seroka told CNN. “The question right now is how do we segment this cargo.”
A segment is a term used to describe a component of a business that generates its own revenues and creates its own product or product lines. Segments typically have their own discrete associated costs and operations.
(Is this gentleman in and the job is “over his head?”)
(Gene Seroka is the Executive Director of the Port of Los Angeles, the busiest
container port in North America. Nominated by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti on May 27, 2014 and confirmed by the Los Angeles City Council on June 11, 2014, the Port of Los Angeles has experienced historic, record-breaking performances since his appointment -AND HE/ASSISTANTS DON’T KNOW HOW TO SEGMENT THIS CARGO? And, they are blaming it on the pandemic?)
Ports worldwide are congested as the global economy bounces back from pandemic slowdowns and consumers seek goods and commodities. A dearth of ships and containers are hampering efforts to move merchandise around, and consumer prices are soaring.
(All part of screwing things up to make people suffer. Where are these people who stated that Biden would make things better than President Trump? They were also part of the Dunning/Kruger problem.)
Last Wednesday, Biden said the White House had helped broker an agreement for the Port of Los Angeles to become a 24-hour, seven-days-a-week operation, part of an effort to relieve supply chain bottlenecks and move stranded container ships that are driving prices higher for U.S. consumers.
Biden touts 24/7 Los Angeles port opening and freight moving to ease supply chain woes
Long Beach, which also fell under Biden’s agreement, has already been operating nonstop for about three weeks.
Long Beach and Los Angeles ports take in 40% of all shipping containers entering the U.S. Operations have been snagged not only by a rebound in demand but also by the coronavirus delta variant, a lack of vaccine access in some countries, and shortages of shipping containers and truck drivers, according to KCBS-TV.
With or without intervention, many experts foresee months, if not years, of shipping delays, KCBS reported.
Biden assured consumers that the nighttime operations would help break the logjam and reduce shipping delays for toasters, sneakers, bicycles, cars and other goods, as The Associated Press noted.
“With holidays coming up, you might be wondering if the gifts you plan to buy will arrive on time,” Biden said. “Today we have some good news: We’re going to help speed up the delivery of goods all across America.”
Sure, Joe, we believe you?
