Today, August 15, 2021, the song I am dedicating to you is:

My Hit Parade: Love, Hope, and Faith By Daniel O’Donnell.

How to shake off a bad day with 3 powerful thoughts – from a friend.

Next time you’re having a really bad day, think about these 3 things to help make that shift from angry to a little happier and maybe even a wee bit more relaxed.

These 3 thoughts will really just give you a new perspective so when you do have a bad day you can take a big deep breath and think on these thoughts.

It will surely help calm you down. Well, here’s to hoping!

1 Patience is a virtue (honestly, I’m still working on that).

I don’t always have a ton, I’ll admit, but I’m working on it. When I feel I’m just about to lose my marbles I tell myself to just stop and breathe. It works, for real.

When you take time to focus on remaining calm, your attitude will eventually lighten up and you’ll feel a tad more optimistic again.

We have to remember one very important thing here too, patience obtains all things. Don’t forget that.

When we lose our patience, this is when we tend to snap. Before you unleash your fury, take a big deep breath in and calm yourself. Nothing good comes from losing your patience and yelling at people.

2 Troubles are temporary

All good is temporary as is all bad. Matter of fact so is life. We stress over nothing sometimes. We cause our own grief most of the time.

Things are temporary. All of it. When we remember this very important point, it’s easy to shift our attitude from sour to sweet.

You have to keep in mind that a lot of the things we freak out about don’t even matter the next day or the next week. We got angry and lost our marbles for nothing. That’s no bueno!

3 Things always work out in the end

Always and they work out exactly the way they are supposed to.

Let things be and don’t try to control the outcome of a situation. Just let it unfold as it is meant to be.

As soon as you release the need to control the outcome of any situation, you will see the situation in a whole new light and you’ll be back to your chipper ole self in no time.

We may not know how things will end and it’s not ours to try to manipulate that either. Maybe things won’t work out the way you want them to but that’s ok. They will work out the way they are supposed to and it will be for the good of everyone involved.

You may not see it right away, but one day you will.

Thank you for the inspiring post. I guess with all the losses that is all I have left…love, hope and faith. I love the picture of the country home with beautiful flowers and most of all, the cat. I’m having trouble getting over the shock and sadness of the death of my sweet little Piddles. She will live on and be loved as long as I live, and I hope she is with my little Angel, Marie, in Heaven.
