Obama State Dept. Pushed Russia Hoax MONTHS Before Election

When it was released earlier this year, the 449-page Mueller Report revealed no so-called collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government.
That begs the question: why was there an investigation in the first place, and what prompted the investigation?
This question has led Attorney General William Barr to order an investigation of the investigators.
Barr has appointed U.S. attorney John Durham to investigate whether intelligence collection efforts that targeted the Trump campaign was “lawful and appropriate.”
Fox News reported that “sources familiar with the matter say the focus of the probe includes the pre-transition period—before Nov. 7, 2016—including the use and initiation of informants, as well as potential Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. (FISA) abuses.”
A primary focus of the investigation will be how the FISA warrant was obtained to spy on Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. It has been known for some time that the warrant was obtained using a discredited dossier obtained by British intelligence agent Christopher Steele.
Steele was paid by Fusion GPS, which was funded by the DNC, to obtain dirt on the Trump campaign.
In May, the New York Times reported that the FBI sent a woman to spy on Trump campaign advisor George Papadopoulos. The woman was operating under an alias and arranged a meeting with Papadopoulos. She asked him if the Trump campaign was working with the Russians to interfere in the 2016 election.
Now there is more damning news about the role the Obama administration had in the Russian hoax.
Documents Show that Obama State Department Pushed Russian Hoax before 2016 Election
It appears that the John Kerry State Department played a role in the Russian collusion hoax investigation.
The Special Coordinator for Libya, Jonathan Winer, helped spread false information from Steele Dossier.
Why, exactly, did someone in charge of the Libyan division care about an investigation involving Russian interference in the 2016 election?
That’s a red flag right there. Winer’s role in facilitating the Trump-Russia misinformation campaign began in the summer of 2016, months before the election.
Last Thursday, the Daily Caller News Foundation reported that they had 84 pages of documents that revealed that the “Obama State Department was central to advancing the Russian collusion hoax narrative prior to the 2016 presidential election. Included in the documents is a ‘September 2016 email exchange between then-Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and Special Coordinator for Libya Jonathan Winer, a close associate of dossier author Christopher Steel, discussing a face-to-face meeting on a Russia matter.’”
I wonder what they could mean by “Russia matter.”?
Presumably, they weren’t getting together to discuss Russian architecture and vodka. I’d be willing to bet that it had to do with pushing a discredited dossier in the media.
The Hoax Continues…
The report continued: “Winter’s involvement in advancing the Russia collusion hoax also includes disseminating information that would end up in the dossier to the State Department and to the media prior to the election. Winter has said that during a meeting in Summer 2016, Steel provided him with information that would end up in the dossier. Winer wrote a two-page summary of the information and shared it with others at State. Winer also helped with news stories about Steele’s findings. He served as a background source for reporters Michael Isikoff and David Corn, who were the only two journalists to write stories about Steele’s claims prior to the 2016 election.”
This story, along with others, shows that the Obama administration had knowledge of and openly intervened in perpetuating the myth of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
Hopefully, the DOJ investigation into the Obama administrations’ role in the hoax will be revealed and justice can finally be served to those involved.
If the allegations are true, this would be one of the biggest political scandals in the history of the United States. It would be a national disgrace committed by one presidential administration against a political opponent. That is something that should never happen in America.
We’re better than this.
Yes, we are; but, Obama and his administration weren’t.
