Google interfered with this blog by erasing my comment – for documentation purposes. After starting over – each stroke of the computer Algorithm’s udder swayed from side to side as I typed with no intrusion from the Googles’ police.
The View has never been my show to watch because of Joy Behar who rattles her brain with her extreme far left views. The barkers on the show continue their humping extravagant views to strain the brains of their viewers and bump up their ratings. But, the View’s Hagee segment was the “pie in the sky.”
“The View” Fooled by Satire Story Involving Christian Pastor John Hagee

Monday’s episode of ABC’s “The View” saw the panel, led by Whoopi Goldberg, discuss controversial comments made by Texas pastor John Hagee. Goldberg and her co-hosts tore into Hagee for saying that women should be charged with a crime if they say the word “God” during sex. Unfortunately for the ladies of “The View,” their outrage was misplaced: Hagee never actually uttered anything they claimed he did.
The show’s producers apparently put together the segment based off a report from a media outlet called Newslo. Similar to other parody outlets like The Onion, Newslo deals in topical satire. “Newslo is the first hybrid News/Satire platform on the web,” the site says. “Readers come to us for a unique brand of entertainment and information that is enhanced by features like our fact-button, which allows readers to find what is fact and what is satire.”
The story containing the pastor’s made-up quote, entitled “John Hagee Calls For Prosecuting Women Who Say God’s Name During Intercourse,” prominently features buttons labeled “Show Facts” and “Hide Facts.” Opting to show the facts highlights the first two paragraphs of the story, in which Hagee is quoted discussing the scriptural reasons for avoiding using the word “God” in vain.
What is not highlighted is the fabricated segment mentioned by Goldberg: “If you’re asking about my personal opinion, there is no greater sin in terms of wrongly using God’s name than women who use it during sex. That is one of the filthiest, most derogatory and sinful uses of the Lord’s name I can think of. If it were up to me, I would put every single woman or girl who does that in jail,” read the fake quote.
ABC was not the only news outlet to believe Newslo’s story at face value. Two British publications, the Daily Mail and the Mirror, reported on the story, but quickly rectified the situation by pulling the story or providing corrections. Hagee’s camp has been trying to get the original story retracted from Newslo, but as of today, it is still accessible.
It’s crazy how quickly the media are willing to grasp onto anything to bash conservatives without even basic fact checking (or in this case, even realizing that the source is satire).
Again, The view has never been “my TV show to watch” because of Joy Behar’s big mouth; but, they took the bait on this one – just like ole’ Joy took the bait on the Dem’s Feinstein fake rape case and rattled her brain.
So, when you hear something from The View – don’t take it to the bank.
