Amendment Ten
The Tenth Amendment addresses the rights of the States. State governments have the right to make laws for their own people, provided that these laws do not interfere or contradict the laws of the federal government or the constitution.
What does the Constitution say about illegals and sanctuary cities and how to handle them? Fox’s Cavato had Shannon Bream on his program and said she was an expert lawyer since she worked at the Supreme Court in the past. She walked around the subject but never mentioned the Constitution.
41 million
There are 41 million immigrants in the United States.
The United States spends $1.84 billion detaining immigrants.
It is time for a wall.
“The Bill of Rights does not grant foreigners the right to enter the United States, but once here, immigrants are entitled to certain broad constitutional protections. Due Process — the right to be treated fairly, whether in a deportation hearing or a criminal court proceeding — applies to every person within U.S. borders. And Equal Protection prohibits discrimination based on race or national origin. An alien’s rights to free speech and religious freedom are protected under the First Amendment. The Refugee Act of 1980 gives certain aliens the right to political asylum in the U.S.”
