Citizens concerned for the future of their country, under a federal government that’s increasingly bloated, corrupt, reckless and invasive, have a constitutional option. We can call a Convention of States to return the country to its original vision of a limited federal government that is of, by and for the people.
Republicans side with Dems to help keep Obamacare afloat

Republicans have nearly completed a full 180 degree turn on Obamacare.
They got elected by promising to repeal Obamacare. Then, after securing their seats in Congress, they worked to replace Obamacare with more federal intrusion.
Now, according to Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer, some of them have joined the Democrats to continue bailing out failing insurance companies. Sen. Schumer called the deal a “good compromise” that will keep health insurance companies — and Obamacare — afloat for the next two years.
Fox News reports:
All 48 Democrats in the Senate would vote in favor of the bipartisan health care proposal that, in part, calls for resuming federal subsidies to insurers, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said on Sunday.
“This is a good compromise,” he told NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “It took months to work out. It has a majority. It has 60 senators supporting it.”
Republicans have failed a number of times trying to repeal and replace ObamaCare. Schumer said beside the 48 Democrats, 12 Republicans support the measure by Republican Sen. Lamar Alexander of Tennessee and Democratic Sen. Patty Murray of Washington.
The two said their plan had 24 sponsors, divided evenly between both parties, for resuming federal subsidies to insurers.
It’s amazing how quickly our elected officials can turn on the people they were sent to Washington to represent. Obamacare is failing, and the GOP lacks the courage to put it out of its misery.
That’s why calling an Article V Convention of States is the perfect option for our current situation. A Convention of States operates independently of Congress, the President, and the Supreme Court. It is called and controlled by the states, and it possesses the power to propose constitutional amendments. These amendments can ensure that the feds get out of the healthcare business — and never enter it again.
The Congress and the Senate are not working for the American people. Why are we continuing to subsidize the insurance and pharmaceutical companies? As the President has stated – they have gotten rich off of the American people and have killed a lot of people with their medicine.
It is time for the American people to have the same insurance government workers have – why should they have better insurance than the citizens? This insurance is set up – so why don’t they just make us a part of that insurance or let us go out and buy our own – because they don’t want to let go of all of those taxes on the people with Obamacare.
