Holidays renamed Fall and Spring from Columbus Day and Good Friday. Wow, what creativity. Can we give the mayor a trophy for political correctness gone amuke? Wonder how long it took for someone to decide on these names?
Don’t we have this backward? Whatever happened to the cultural word called, “assimilation?” A good example is a person’s hair. You can do a lot of different styles with a woman’s hair. One example – when you braid the hair you part it into two sections and then cross it to make it one strand; but, you still have one head of hair. After the braiding we call it braided hair. What would this mayor rename that too?
Why do these mayors think they have the right to change the wording for the new people instead of assimilating them into what the culture is instead of turning the whole place upside down. These are the citizenry who lack common sense and good judgement. This should be voted on by the citizens not one mayor who lacks common sense and good judgement.
