2016 election: Which candidate will triumph in the Year of the Monkey?

Hong Kong (CNN) — If Donald Trump believes his victory is written in the stars, he may just be right.

With the Year of the Monkey and the New Hampshire primary upon us, CNN asked Hong Kong fortune teller Priscilla Lam to divine the fates of the candidates battling it out for the presidency.

A practitioner of feng shui, the ancient Chinese system of summoning good luck, she combined the art of face reading with analysis of the candidates’ birthdays and current life cycles according to the Chinese Zodiac.

Lam says she is “about 80%” confident in her predictions for the 2016 election. Those sound like pretty good odds.

(And she was right.)

She says the new lunar year will fuel good fortune for Donald Trump, while also lighting a fire under Hillary Clinton. Bernie Sanders’ missing metal is a problem with older voters and the fighting elements of fire and water might just leave Marco Rubio all wet. And don’t ask about Ted Cruz’s face reading.

Lam says chances are better for Clinton’s second attempt at the presidency:  Eight years ago, she was in a different life cycle. She was a little bit too aggressive. At the time, she was too proud of herself. She thought she must be the winner so she lost the election. But she reckons Hillary will find it hard to beat Trump.

Lam is not upbeat on Cruz’s chances:   This is not the face of a president. You see the bone in the mid part of his nose. This is not good. It’s a blockage for selection. Also his lips and eyes are turned down. This means lots of difficulties, not enough supporters.

Lam says Sanders is not optimistic enough:  His eyes are dropping down.

Rubio has conflicting elements, according to Lam:   He is the water type. He doesn’t need the sunshine. This year, the water and fire are fighting.

Now that we know the results – why did we even have an election – we could have saved a lot of money just by following Hong Kong fortune teller Priscilla Lam.  But then, again, don’t think the Dem’s would have followed Lam’s prediction.
