My question is – why are we following what the Harvard Law Review is saying, we know Harvard is as far left as you can go on the political spectrum.  We want the truth.

What defines a natural born citizen for president?  Is Senator Ted Cruz a “natural born citizen?”

News commentators, constitutional experts, the Harvard Law Review have been defining natural born as derived from British common law.

Yet, they won’t discuss the reason, logic and origin of “natural born citizen” requirement for president.  It is easy to find sources of information with a web search.   Yet, they never explain why the qualifications for representatives (“…seven years a citizen…”) and senators (…nine years a citizen…”) written by the same learned articulate people, are different.  One might ask then – what is a “natural born citizen” and why the difference.

John Jay, Benjamin Franklin, George Mason all have written about it.  It is not from British common law.  There is no doubt the definition is from the book, “The Law of Nations” by the Swiss political philosopher Monsieur de Vattel.  Franklin received three copies from the publisher, one of which was in constant use in Philadelphia in 1787.

In paragraph 212 it says, “The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens.”  It is more restrictive than just born a citizen in a foreign nation and is unique to the commander in chief because of the fear of a foreign alliance in one person having so much power.

When Senator Cruz announced he was running for president he said he would “honor every word of the Constitution.”  Yet by doing so he dishonors the Constitution.  Surely as a declared Constitutionalist and Constitutional expert he should know the true definition.  He says it is settle law.

Well, yes, it is, but not in the way he and the Ivy encrusted intelligentsia are telling us.

So, are we on the same road as in the Obama misleading factor in that we find him listed as a “foreign student” at Columbia University.  The fact is trust but verify this time around.  This must be clarified this time around.  We see what mess our country is in today.  We do not need another “PRETEND TO BE AN AMERICAN.”
