There’s nothing pretty about Miss Puerto Rico beauty queen’s comments.
(I do not agree with the prior politically correct statement. Miss Puerto Rico has a right to express her opinion in any venue. Could a muslim woman be a contestant – from what I have read the answer is no because they have to be fully clothed? So if America is turned into a muslim country as Hillary and Obama want – we could not hold any contests of this sort. So why did the judges make such a big deal of Miss Puerto Rico’s comments?)
Miss Puerto Rico Destiny Velez has been suspended indefinitely from Miss America competition after she fired off a series of anti-Muslim tweets in response to the “We Are All Muslim” protests led by director Michael Moore.
(Why is it Michael Moore can put inflammatory statements out there and when someone answers them – their legs are cut out from under them – this is Nazism! Why are Moore’s words not equal to Ms. Velez’s? Is it because she is a woman speaking out?)
Miss Puerto Rico@Miss America tweet read: Islamic God is not the same God of the Christians and Jews.
The 20-year-old Velez directed her angry tweets at the director — who created a buzz last week when he held up a sign reading “We Are All Muslim” outside of Trump Tower and shared an open letter online claiming that, unlike Trump, “We are not a country of angry white guys.”
(We all know that Michael Moore is a bigot – he uses the capitalistic system to make lots of money and then bashes the very people he made the money from. He’s a loser and does this to get attention. His noise is old hat and no one pays attention to him any more. We need to put him through the car wash and clean him up or send him to the Middle East where he would get lots of attention – maybe they might even put him in a burning cage.)
(Twitter) Miss Puerto Rico@Miss America tweet read: There’s no comparison between Jews, Christians and Muslims. Jews nor Christians have terrorizing agenda in their sacred books.
In her tweets, Velez said, “Muslims use our constitution to terrorize USA & plant gas stations,” before later adding that Muslims “terrorize this country & many others.”
(Twitter) All what Muslims have done is provided oil and terrorizing this country and many others.
Velez apologized for her comments shortly after.
“I stand up against bullying,” she said. “The last thing I wanted to do was to bully anyone.”
“I apologize to anyone who felt offended with my words.”

Velez’s remarks prompted the Miss Puerto Rico Organization to issue a statement calling her comments a poor representation of “the integrity and esteem of our program.”
The whole night was nothing but Politically Correct versions of Nazism. Looks like the job of host for the pageant was above Steve Harvey’s pay grade when the most important part of his job was naming the runner-up and then the top prize. Did he make this colossal mistake to go down in history as a “flubber-upper?” Who would want to hire him after this switcheroo or was he just a token in this big world of the TV jungle? Can you image – two names and you can’t even get that right!
LAS VEGAS, NV – DECEMBER 20: Miss Philippines 2015, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, who was mistakenly named as First Runner-up, reacts as she is named the 2015 Miss Universe during the 2015 Miss Universe Pageant at The Axis at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
This was all done for attention.
Steve Harvey holds up the card showing the winners after he incorrectly announced Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez as the winner at the Miss Universe pageant on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, in Las Vegas. Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach was named Miss Universe.
Former Miss Universe Paulina Vega, center, removes the crown from Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez, left, before giving it to Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, right, at the Miss Universe pageant on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, in Las Vegas. Steve Harvy certainly made one of those happy and the loser who thought she was the winner unhappy.
One unholy alliance!
Even the politically correct (PC) people can’t get it right because they are so confused.
Steve Harvey’s tweets:
Just as swiftly as the Miss Universe crown was given to — and then taken away from — Miss Colombia Sunday night, host Steve Harvey quickly issued a public apology for his role in the mix-up.“I’d like to apologize wholeheartedly to Miss Colombia and Miss Philippines for my huge mistake,” the talk-show host tweeted. “I feel terrible.”
In subsequent tweets, he apologized to viewers of the live pageant, saying that his announcing Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez as ultimate winner was “an honest mistake.”
At the very end of the telecast Sunday, Harvey mixed up the names of Gutierrez and Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach. The error wasn’t addressed until after Gutierrez had already been outfitted with the Miss Universe crown and sash; Harvey had to stop her during her winning walk in order to rectify the situation.
I don’t want to take away from this amazing night and pageant. As well as the wonderful contestants. They were all amazing.”
In a tweet that was later removed, he added: “This was a terribly honest human mistake. I am so so regretful.”
