KOMMONSENTSJANE – IMMIGRATION GRADES FOR FUTURE SPEAKER

Feel that Paul Ryan is very good in his present job handling  the budget.  Due to the chaos at the present time which is caused by the Elite Republicans I feel we need to have Newt Gingrich or  retired Senator Tom Coburn to come in as speaker because most of the people are still wet behind the ears on procedures.  Need an adult in the room because their grades on immigration voting are weak.

Immigration Records of Speaker prospects.

Here are the immigration positions of the candidates (and rumored candidates) for the next House Speaker.
When House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy dropped out of the race for House Speaker, it opened it up to a new field of Republican Representatives being touted for the position.

Most of the media’s attention has been on former Vice Presidential candidate and Wisconsin Representative Paul Ryan. Ryan has even
earned the endorsement of amnesty advocate Rep. Luis Gutierrez!

Ryan’s position on immigration is fairly straightforward; he supports work permits and legal status for illegal aliens and he supports massive increases in legal immigration.

NumbersUSA is not making endorsements on who the next House Speaker should be. And we know that you make decisions on a broad range of issues other than immigration. But we want you to know as much as possible about where each of the candidates and potential candidates stands on immigration issues.

Under each photo, you will see the overall Immigration-Reduction grade for This Congress and for the Representative’s entire Career in Congress. I’m also noting how many actions were taken by each person in earning that grade.

The overall grade is based on actions in 9 categories. NumbersUSA President Roy Beck has requested that we show one of those grades — “Unnecessary Worker Visas” — because it “provides special insight into whether Representatives regard immigration policy as connected directly to the lives of American workers and how much commitment they have to the every-day struggles of regular working people.”

Please take a look at the list of candidates and their grade cards. If you have a view on the Speaker’s race, we encourage you to call your U.S. Representative and make your voice heard. We’ve posted a phone note on your Action Board with the phone numbers for your Rep.’s local district office.

Call your U.S. Representative.
