KOMMONSENTSJANE – TIME FOR THE PEOPLE TO BOYCOTT

SMILE

In many places of businesses I have seen posted signs which state “no shirt, no shoes, no service.”  But, I have never seen a sign which states, “if you are a cop, no service.”  There are businesses in the USA that do not have signs but the workers will “refuse to serve the Police.”  In the past, we have had companies like Taco Bell, Arby’s, and now Dunkin Donuts who have committed this discrimination.  This is discrimination and the people who experience this should file a lawsuit against these companies.  Also, the CEO and the employee who committed the refusal to serve this person – his or her picture should be posted on the internet and fired.  This is not right and these people should be called out and the American people should boycott these businesses.

Taco Bell in Jessup, MD, requested a truck driver with a disabilities dog who had a yellow vest which indicates the dog is a service dog, was requested to leave because they did not allow dogs  Later the district manager apologized.

Arby’s, in Pembroke Pines (Miami area city), Florida, Angel Mirabel restaurant manager, refused service to a policewoman after Ken Davenport, a teen clerk, didn’t want to serve a  police woman.  Corporate Headquarters later apologized and stated the behavior was unacceptable and not representative of the company’s values.

Now the latest incident is in West Hartford, Connecticut,  this past Saturday, a police officer was in a line when the woman clerk shouted loudly, “we don’t serve cops here.”  This is unacceptable in this country.  Later the store manager and employee apologized after she had embarrassed the policeman and said she was joking.  Michele King, District Director  of Global Public Relations also apologized.

It looks like the training these employees are receiving does not include RESPECT for all customers regardless of race.  Now is the time for people to stand up for our police officers.  There are bad people in all walks of life but that doesn’t mean if you work in a place of business you can’t treat these people with respect.  I blame the businesses for the lack of training their employees receive – that you greet people with a smile if you are serving the public.

Enough of this lack of respect.  We should boycott any business who is disrespectful to anyone because they are there to serve the public.  It is very evident that businesses are not training their people to greet people with a smile or they don’t need to be serving the public.  That is the thing I notice most with the employees in all businesses – they act like they are doing you a favor by waiting on you.  Any business that I go into and their employees give me that frown then I take my business elsewhere.  Many times I have asked the clerk waiting on me when I encounter this “don’t care attitude”  – I always ask, “do you not want to be here ” or in some cases I say, “do you not like your job because it is showing?”

If I were hiring my sign would say – ONLY PEOPLE  WHO CAN SMILE!
