KOMMONSENTSJANE – LIFE IS FULL OF DECISIONS AND CHOICES

Have  you made your 2015 New Years resolutions?  Have you reviewed the ones you made  in 2014?  Well, it is time to take inventory and think about the future.  How many in 2014 were successful?  Do you have any that you want to carry over that were not achieved?  How about those that you want to discard?  What have you learned from 2014? What about having a positive attitude versus a negative attitude?  What have you learned about accepting those things you cannot change and moving on?  What have you learned about loving and accepting people who are not easy to love?

There are a lot of things  in our life that clutter our thinking.  Life is just like your cabinets and drawers.  There are things that you simply need to discard and move on.  It is like a spider web that clogs up the mind because you keep reliving things that have happened to you and keep getting in the way of progress – things like, failures, disappointments, hurts, and not forgiving someone.  If we continue to focus on the negative things and regrets in our lives, it can keep us from fully enjoying the present.  Bad things happen to good people,  however, each of us has a choice of how we handle them and if we dwell on them.   So, when you have these negative thoughts, just tell yourself, “here I go again, living in the past.”

Last year was a difficult year for a lot of people.  A lot of people lost their jobs, lost a loved one, experienced a tragedy, or were diagnosed with a serious disease – but, remember, “that was a bend in the road, not the end.”  With a positive mind, there is always hope which serves as an anchor for all of us.  I challenge you to take a fresh look at your life, shake off those blues, get rid of the spider webs of the past that clogged your mind, and make room for the best that is yet to come.

Remember you are never alone.  If you need someone to talk to – God is always right beside you to listen.  And, if you do fall, he is again right beside you to pick you up!
