Mayor Annise Parker of the City of Houston announced that the subpoenas of sermons from five local pastors have been withdrawn.  The city of Houston originally issued subpoenas telling pastors in the area to turn over all sermons pertaining to homosexuality, gender identity, or to Parker, the city’s openly gay major.  If pastors did not comply with the request, they could have been held in contempt of court.

Can you believe this woman?  Wonder who was guiding her through the legal process – Congresswoman Jackson Lee?   It is dumbfounded that it ever even got to this point.  The mayor won’t give a clear answer or anyone else at city hall about how an elected PUBLIC SERVANT in the USA ever thought it was within her prerogative to require pastors to turn over their teachings for review by HER? If ever anyone questioned the truth of the old adage “ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES,” this is the best example I have witnessed.
