KOMMONSENTSJANE – CONTRIVED INCOME/WEALTH INEQUALITY

Income equality seems to be a no-brainer in this country.  The wealth in America grew from the 1920’s thru the 1980’s from 15 to 36%.  Since the mid-80’s the middle class wealth has evaporated – falling to 23% in 2012 which is the same as 1940.  The blame seems to point on the indebtedness, the collapse of the stock values, and on home prices (all contrived measures).

All of these disasters have destroyed the middle class wealth.  At this point, the middle class continues to be dependent on housing and pensions and both of these are on shaky grounds.  Which party is beating the drums of wealth distribution throughout the world?  Which party is raising the debt in this country by playing Russian roulet with the spending?  Unnecessary spending throughout the world by this leader is the order of the day.  And, he continues to dig that hole deeper and deeper.

Wealth inequality shows up when you have income inequality.  The bottom 90 percent are unable to save due to the high taxes people and corporations are having to pay with the loss of high-paying jobs which have left the country (example – credit card companies charge 13.99 plus interest and citizens receive 0.01 percent on savings).  That is a good example of what is called wealth inequality.

In my opinion, all of this falls on the backs of politicians and are contrived measures to reduce the standard of living of Americans and their world view of sharing jobs with foreign countries by increasing the corporate taxes so that companies will move outside the country to elevate the other countries standard of living (example – Mexico – low salaries for the workers compared to what Americans were paid).

How will Americans position themselves in order to turn this around?
