Oktoberfest is a colorful, festive celebration which we attended this past weekend in Fredericksburg, TX.  The town did a wonderful job as far as being organized and handling the number of people – even with the security. Oktobefest is a German heritage celebration and has become an annual tradition around the world.  Check on the internet and see what town is having this festival throughout the U.S.  In Texas, there are many towns who are having this festival in the coming weeks..  This is a community event of family entertainment; and, if you get a chance to celebrate this, it is so much fun. They had four stages of continuous oompah music (mixed in with a little country and Mexican music), local artisans, children’s fun area, and the best is the delicious food and lots and lots of drinks.  If a celebration is held near you – just  go out there – let your hair down, shake a leg, and get away from the TV and have some fun.  We did!
