No doctor will accept being paid one-third by Medicare of what they can earn from patients with private insurance or even accepting new Medicare patients – the doctors limit the number of Medicare patients they treat.
One of my doctors is requiring payment up front and then they file for you and Medicare’s check is sent to you. An example, in every country that has government-run health care, you see long waiting lists for basic health care services (just like the Veterans Administration scandal). In countries like Britain, France, Germany, and Canada and other countries that have socialist health care systems. It can take months to get approval for an MRI exam or even to meet with a doctor. Americans at the present time have a much higher survival rates than Europeans for cancer.
In the countries that do have socialized medicine they have halted medical research and development of new life-saving medicines and treatment. Almost all medical research has been occurring in the U.S. and Israel. That is stopping as the drug companies shift their research to less heavily regulated areas such as cosmetics and hair regrowth. Now the medical research for cancer, heart disease, and other fatal diseases is grinding to a halt in America.
