Did I hear Mitch McConnell, Republican,  a few weeks ago state, “passing a clean debt bill increase would be irresponsible?”  He must have changed  his  mind.  This Polly did not even ask for a cracker.  There were 12 Republicans who voted for cloture (the ending of debate in a legislature by having the issue put to a vote) and helped the Socialist Democrats raise the debt limit without any spending reductions.  These Socialist Democrats and 12 Republicans  are a cancer in our government because the only budget they can fathom is a “cost growth” program.  McConnell also pressured other Republicans to vote with the Democrats.  The clerk was even instructed not to announce senators’ votes during the roll call so McConnell could get them to change their “no” votes to “yes” without anyone knowing about it. The 12  were:

John Barrasso (R-WY), Susan Collins (R-ME), Bob Corker (R-TN),  John Cornyn (R-TX), Jeff Flake (R-AZ), Mike Johanns (R-NE),  Orrin Hatch (R-UT), Mark Kirk (R-IL), John McCain (R-AZ), Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), John Thune (R-SD). 

Yes, even our own Texas, John Cornyn, was in on the “elite” vote to increase our debt.  Mr. John sure has some explaining to do before I vote for him again.  In Texas we don’t call it “down-sizing” we call it “right-sizing.”
