KOMMONSENTSJANE – WHAT CAUSED THAT?

Is it really true that Americans take more prescription medication than any place in the world?  It seems all of the ads on television are medicines that you take for a specific disease and then they give you the side effects which usually specifies that it will kill you or cause another disease.

As we all know, when we enter the doctor’s office the first thing they ask is.  “what kind of medication do you take?”

And, naturally, you give them a list whether it is over the counter or prescription medication.  If you don’t take anything but vitamins – they say – is that all you take?  Like it is a crime to not take any medication!  The next question is, “what are your symptoms?”  Which you will relate!  After all of this, you will be given some type of medication for the symptoms; but, what I want to know is, “what caused the symptoms?”  Are we too eager to take medication?  Let’s see, it starts with the FDA and then the pharmaceutical companies, and, lastly, the doctors.  Is it all about profits?

I wonder in the old days –  what did the American Indians take for acid reflux – did they go into the forest, dig up a root, boil the root , and drink the tea from the root.  So, the question is, are all of these medications causing our problems rather than helping?  When I see a person taking eight or more different types of medication each day – something is wrong in Paradise.  Surely, internally, they must be  fighting each other.   It is scary!  We are at the mercy of the profiteers.
