Yesterday the brass at ABC news issued orders forbidding reporters to wear lapel pin American flags or other patriotic insignia.  Their reasoning was that ABC should remain neutral about “causes.”  Since when is patriotism discouraged or a cause?  Our men and women fought and died to preserve this country and what it and the flag stand for, and this is the thanks they get – a slap in the face.

I reckon some folks don’t care and figure I am not broad-minded and think it is a compliment to be called “broad-minded.”  In Texas, broad-minded is just another way of saying a feller’s too lazy to form an opinion – especially if you don’t stand up for your country.

So, ABC will be off my radar screen in the future and I hope all of you out there will join me.
