What is wrong with the “tooth” fairy and with Santa Claus? Fantasy has certainly been a big factor in creativity and “reaching for the stars.” Have you ever found yourself “day dreaming?” My mom always said, “the sky is the limit” in this country because where her parents lived that was not the case. The only stumbling block for some people is not having the will to work hard and achieve success seems to get in the way. Some people think it happens automatically which is not the case or it is given to you. Or, some people think if you complain, it will be given to you.
Some of the stories told to us always started out with “Once upon a time” or “Long, long ago” with both good and bad characters appearing in the story. Nevertheless, we always listened to the story-teller waiting for the lesson to be learned – some times it was about a protector, other times it was about an evil person, and other times just learning to accept commands. All in all, it was always a parent’s way of teaching children about lessons in life. It is certainly better than some of the lessons that we observe on television whereby children never get to be children. The nice thing about day dreaming is – you can be any thing and any where you want to be at any given moment.
