Tech mogul Elon Musk, appearing alongside former President Trump at his rally in Butler, Pa., railed against Democrats, claiming the party wanted to take away basic rights from citizens.
Democrats want to “take away your freedom of speech, they want to take away your right to bear arms, they want to take away your right to vote, effectively,” Musk, the owner of X and Tesla, said at the rally, held at the same site where an assassin tried to kill Trump on July 13.
The remarks were some of the most political yet by Musk, who has taken an out-sized role in this presidential election as he has tied himself closely to Trump.
Trump introduced Musk before his remarks. Musk had endorsed the former president on the day he was shot in July.
“The true test of someone’s character is how they behave under fire. We had one president who couldn’t climb a flight of stairs and another who was fist pumping after getting shot,” Musk said, swiping at President Biden.
Musk has backed Save America PAC, an outside group that has taken on a leading role in get out the vote efforts for the Trump campaign. He repeatedly urged attendees on Saturday to register to vote, and he claimed without evidence that 2024 would be “the last election” if Democrats win in November.
Democrats have pushed for expanded voting rights laws, though Republicans have argued that their rivals have sought to make it easier for non-citizens to vote. There is little evidence to show that large numbers of non-citizens are voting.
Elon Musk at Trump rally in Butler, PA: FULL SPEECH
Democrats have sought to enact tougher gun control measures as a response years of mass shootings at schools, workplaces and places of worship in the United States.
But Vice President Harris, the party’s nominee for president, has been adamant she is not seeking to take away gun owners’ firearms.
(And she/Biden are two of the biggest liars in their party.)
Harris has spoken repeatedly in recent weeks about being a gun owner herself, as has her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D).Copyright 2024 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed.
Obama/Biden/Pelosi fooled us in the 2020 election. Are we going to let it happen again?
We want to save our country/freedom from the Democrat/Marxists. Harris won’t give us specifics and we all know what that means. With Biden, he gave us a BAIT AND SWITCH and we we all know what he did to us.
The word on the street is – if Harris is elected there will be no more elections.
Now, LET’S BEAT THOSE DEMOCRAT/MARXISTS at the polls.
If Harris is voted into office – we will have four more years of Biden/Obama/stagnation/inflation because Obama/Pelosi will still be in charge of the Biden/Democrat/Marxists.
Which will be darker than what we have now.
Obama is a Marxists/Muslim and stands with Iran.
Harris will be the ruination of our country – you can bet your life on it.
Her past – shows us our future.
OBAMA/PELOSI are the problem – not the solution.
What did Obama do for the black people when he was in office?
DIVIDED AND THEN WEAPONIZED THE GOVERNMENT AGAINST THE COUNTRY.
And, now he is trying to get four more years to finish off the people and turn the government into Harris wet noodle.
He ended up with the money and all of the houses – not the black people.
So, he is going to talk the people into voting for a KAMALA MARXISTS who has done NOTHING while being in office?
“No, I don’t stand by it, and I’ll tell you why,” Sondland began. “I’ve now lived four years under the Biden-Harris policies and I have to say that those policies are not only becoming an existential threat to our country’s way of life, but to our allies as well.
The Harris campaign said Obama, who served as president from 2009 to 2017, will travel around the country to rally voters for the final 27 days before the election, starting with a trip to Pittsburgh on Thursday.
The announcement of Obama’s plans to hit the campaign trail came as polls have shown Harris, while still having the support of the majority of Black voters, is lagging behind Biden’s 2020 margins with the key demographic.
CNN’s latest poll found Harris is leading former President Donald Trump by a wide margin, 79 percent to 16 percent. Black voters were crucial to Biden’s victory in 2020, when 92 percent voted for him and 8 percent backed Trump, according to the Pew Research Center.
Obama, the nation’s first Black president, remains popular with the Democratic base and his efforts in the closing weeks of the campaign could encourage undecided Black voters to turn out for Harris, who would be the first Black woman, the first Asian American and the first South Asian American to be elected president.
That could be significant in what polls show is set to be a tight race that could be decided by small margins in swing states like Georgia and Pennsylvania.
“Everyone saw the reception that the Obamas received at the Democratic convention,” Thomas Gift, an associate professor of political science and director of the Centre on U.S. Politics at University College London, told Newsweek.
“There’s enormous nostalgia for Barack Obama, not least among Black voters. From that perspective, Obama going on the campaign trail for Harris can only help her, especially as Harris tries to revive Obama’s 2008 optimism with a message of ‘hope and change.'”
The “problem for Harris is that she’s having a harder time conveying that message because she’s herself part of the incumbent government,” Gift said. “At the same time she’s saying it’s time for a new generation, she’s irrevocably tied to what the White House has done for the last four years.”
Newsweek has contacted the Harris campaign for comment via email.
Harris “is clearly unrelatable, so she has to trot out a liberal retread” in Obama, Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung told Newsweek. Obama, he added, “is a national disgrace for hurting the American people with his out-of-touch radical policies.”
“President Obama believes the stakes of this election could not be more consequential and that is why he is doing everything he can to help elect Vice President Harris, Governor [Tim] Walz and Democrats across the country,” Obama adviser Eric Schultz said in a news release.
“His goals are to win the White House, keep the U.S. Senate, and take back the House of Representatives. Now that voting has begun, our focus is on persuading and mobilizing voters, especially in states with key races. Many of these races are likely to go down to the wire and nothing should be taken for granted.”
Fundraising and events featuring Obama have raised $76 million for the presidential campaign this cycle, Obama’s office said.
The former president was reportedly part of a behind-the-scenes push to persuade Biden to quit his bid for reelection following a disastrous debate performance. Days after the president stepped down, Obama and his wife Michelle Obamaendorsed Harris.
In his speech at the Democratic convention in August, Obama said Harris “has spent her life fighting on behalf of people who need a voice and champion” and “actually cares about what other people are going through.”
He added: “If we each do our part over the next 77 days, if we knock on doors, if we make phone calls, if we talk to our friends, if we listen to our neighbors, if we work like we’ve never worked before, if we hold firm to our convictions, we will elect Kamala Harris as the next president of the United States and Tim Walz as the next vice president of the United States.
“We will elect leaders up and down the ballot who will fight for the hopeful, forward-looking America we all believe in.”

Have you ever seen a Marxists country who was FORWARD-LOOKING. Just another Obama LIE!

Former NIAID official ignores Fox questions on FOIA controversy
Former National Institutes of Health employee Margaret Moore, accused by Republicans of helping others shield emails from the public, invoked her Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination at a deposition before the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic Friday.
Moore, a former FOIA public liaison for the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), also declined to answer questions from Fox News in the hallway before the committee meeting.
The committee on Monday issued a subpoena for Moore to appear.
“Instead of using NIH’s FOIA office to provide the transparency and accountability that the American people deserve, it appears that ‘FOIA Lady’ Margaret Moore assisted efforts to evade federal recordkeeping laws,” said Rep. Brad Wenstrup from Ohio, chairman of the subcommittee.
He added, “Her alleged scheme to help NIH officials delete COVID-19 records and use their personal emails to avoid FOIA is appalling and deserves a thorough investigation.”
Moore’s legal team has defended her right to abstain from testifying, claiming that the former NIH employee has been willing to aid the investigation via alternative means.
“Ms. Moore has cooperated with the Select Subcommittee through counsel to find an alternative to her sitting for an interview, including expediting her own FOIA request for her own documents, which she provided to the Select Subcommittee voluntarily,” her legal team wrote.

Moore worked for NIAID for over three decades and at one point served as a special assistant to Dr. Anthony Fauci.
She is accused of teaching “tricks” to other members of NIAID to hide records and evade FOIA requests.
“I learned from our foia lady here how to make emails disappear after I am foia’d but before the search starts,” Fauci senior advisor Dr. David Morens wrote in an email sent from his personal Gmail account in Feb. 2021. “Plus I deleted most of those earlier emails after sending them to gmail.”
The materials sought by the COVID subcommittee would provide insight into the NIH’s relationship with the Wuhan Institute of Virology, commonly believed to have been the origin of the coronavirus in 2019.
Other emails obtained from May 2021 show the NIH general counsel warning the FOIA office “not release anything having to do with EcoHealth Alliance/WIV,” with “WIV” referring to the Wuhan Institute.
