Conservative writers are starting to sound like press secretaries for Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign. Ahead of an election that will literally decide whether America remains a Democratic republic or veers into socialism, former President Donald Trump needs their support as never before.
Last week, economist, conservative icon, and Wall Street Journal columnist Thomas Sowell wrote, “If the Republicans lose this year’s election—against an administration whose policies have been rejected by the public in poll after poll—they will deserve to lose.”
Given the damage inflicted on the United States by the Biden-Harris administration, he argued, the election shouldn’t be this close. According to Sowell, while Republicans blame this on the media and the radicalization of students by universities, “the fact is that a similar situation existed back in the days when Ronald Reagan won two consecutive presidential elections by landslides.” Reagan won, he said, “by addressing the voting public as if they were adults who could understand an issue—if you explained it to them in plain English, instead of in political jargon or snappy quips.”
Sowell warned that “Republicans better get on the ball” because “they haven’t made the case against Harris.”
This has become a common refrain on the Wall Street Journal’s opinion pages. In a recent visit to the site, I was floored to see that the three “most popular” op-eds each took aim at Trump. First, columnist Gerard Baker opined that “Trump is looking like a loser again.” In the next, the editorial board asked, “Will Donald Trump Blow Another Election?” And finally, writer Peggy Noonan told readers that Harris had just completed another successful week while Trump spent most of it having what a GOP strategist told Politico was a “public nervous breakdown.”
Responding to Sowell’s piece on Tuesday, the National Review’s Jim Geraghty noted that inflation, the economy, and illegal immigration are the most important issues to voters. “If Republicans want to gain traction,” he wrote, “it would probably help to offer some direct, clear arguments and hard facts about these issues.”
I get it. Trump is a flawed individual. He is impulsive, unpredictable, egotistical, and sometimes boorish. I would argue that these traits are what made him a formidable adversary on the international stage. His temperament kept the tyrants of the world, who both respected and feared him, in check.
Trump is also strong, smart, courageous, patriotic, and one of the most accomplished presidents in modern memory.
And America needs his leadership now more than ever.
The willingness of the conservative media to amplify every single misstep Trump made during his presidency is what gave us President Joe Biden and Harris, who have presided over a period of unprecedented decline both domestically and globally. By every metric, America is worse off since the day this pair took office.
The world is on fire, and the Biden-Harris administration is the arsonist. Much of the chaos and strife can be attributed to its failed foreign policy and projection of weakness on the international stage. As we teeter on the brink of serious foreign conflict, I submit that a dose of Trump’s abrasiveness would go a long way toward defusing tensions.
Conservatives need to be focused on defeating the most far-left Democratic ticket in U.S. political history. That starts with recounting Harris’s many failures.
For example, Harris owns the botched Afghanistan withdrawal as much as Biden. Harris confirmed to CNN that she was the “last person in the room” when Biden made the decision to leave Afghanistan on the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. She told CNN, “This is a president who has an extraordinary amount of courage.”
As president of the Senate, Harris has cast 33 tiebreaking votes. Ignoring warnings from former President Barack Obama’s economic adviser, Larry Summers, that passage of the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan in March 2021 would trigger inflation, Harris cast the deciding vote in its favor. Likewise, she is responsible for the passage of the ironically named Inflation Reduction Act in August 2022.
Needless to say, these two bloated stimulus bills, along with the rest of the Biden-Harris administration’s reckless and needless spending, triggered the worst inflation in 40 years. Harris thus also owns the long series of interest rate hikes that were required to cool prices down and that have more than doubled mortgage rates.
And, no matter how hard she tries to run from it, she is responsible for the administration’s failure to enforce U.S. immigration laws. The Biden-Harris administration’s open border policy has allowed more than 10 million illegal immigrants, including terrorists, into the country. It has also enabled drug traffickers to smuggle massive quantities of fentanyl over the border which kills approximately 70,000 Americans each year.
Anyone who trusts Harris’s election-year conversion is naive. She supports the same radical positions she championed during the 2020 Democratic presidential primary. To name a few, she supported a ban on fracking and offshore drilling, Medicare for All, and the Green New Deal. I’ll take impulsive and egotistical any day over the candidate who encouraged donations to a fund set up to bail out violent rioters during the George Floyd riots.
We have a binary choice to make in November. We can choose socialism or we can choose Donald Trump.
Inflation and immigration remain the voters’ top concerns heading into the contest between President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris this November, and the policy platform put out by the Democratic National Convention would only make both problems much worse.
On inflation, Harris has embraced all of the huge spending that President Joe Biden couldn’t fit into his original inflation-causing $1.9 trillion spending plan. Remember all that free preschool, free paid leave, free child care, and free day care Biden had in his original Build Back Better plan? You know, all the stuff that centrist Democrats flinched at including in what they already knew was a bill with too much deficit spending? Well, Harris wants to spend all that money now.
Asked how she planned to pay for all this new spending before the convention, Harris rambled through a lengthy response in which she said “return on investment” four times and claimed all her new spending would “pay for itself.” This is, of course, completely untrue. While there are two decades-old studies that purportedly show that intensive investment in early childhood interventions does pay for itself, those studies were small and have never been replicated.
The largest, most recent studies, both of the federal government’s Head Start program and Tennessee’s pre-K program, both show no results or negative results for the children who participated in the programs. Far from helping children and showing a “return on investment,” in reality, the Democratic Party’s care economy only makes children and families worse off. And that is before considering that all of Harris’s new spending will only send inflation rising again.
Turning to immigration, the Democratic Party platform contains the largest amnesty program in the history of the United States, granting citizenship, welfare, Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security to the 10 million illegal immigrants who were in the country before January 2021. According to the Congressional Budget Office, granting amnesty and full benefits to these illegal immigrants would add billions to the federal deficit on top of the financial burden they are already causing state and local governments.
Then there is the question of what to do about the 3.8 million illegal immigrants who have been caught and released into the U.S. under the Biden-Harris administration. While they have not endorsed a date change, every Democratic Party amnesty in the past sets the date of amnesty eligibility at the date the amnesty is written. So there is every reason to think that when Harris writes her actual amnesty bill, it will include every illegal immigrant Biden let into the country, raising the total number of illegal immigrants given citizenship under the Harris regime to 13.8 million.
Worse, Harris has endorsed the Lankford-Mayorkas bill, which would codify Biden’s catch-and-release border policies. Under the Lankford-Mayorkas bill, all migrants caught illegally crossing the border could be entered into U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s “alternative to detention program.” Migrants would then be free to cut off their ankle bracelets, ignore ICE, travel wherever they wanted, and wait until the Democratic Party’s next amnesty, safely knowing no effort would be made to track them down and deport them.
Aside from making inflation and immigration worse, the Democratic Party platform also raises taxes on oil and gas companies, making energy prices and everything at the store more expensive. The document also calls for “environmental justice” reviews, which will make it even more expensive to build everything from highways to high-speed rail to clean energy projects.
And then there are the tax hikes, including a rise in the corporate tax rate, which every economist will tell you leads to lower worker pay, and a new tax on unrealized capital gains, which would be destined for reversal by the Supreme Court.
Harris has made every effort to moderate her positions on immigration and government spending since she helped push Biden out of the race. The Democratic Party platform goes in the exact opposite direction, adopting far-left positions on every hot-button issue voters care about. Republicans should make every effort to tie Harris to this radical document.
We have a binary choice to make in November. We can choose socialism or we can choose Donald Trump.
And yes, it really is that simple.
Let’s establish one thing – Hillary/Biden/Obama/Harris/all Democrats are Marxists/Socialists – whatever you want to call them. They do not believe in the Constitution/Bill of Rights which is a problem for our country.
We are at a dangerous time in our country’s history with this election. A lot of people are ignorant of Obama/Harris/Walz’s background. They are against the people in this country and we have lived that for four years and with the eight years of Obama. Don’t let them fool us again.

The Democrats who have shamed themselves with their depiction of President Trump has to fall back on their own character. These people who have worked for Trump like John Kelly came from the Obama’s WOKE Military and then turn around and accuse him of being a Nazi because of a statement in which Trump said, “that he wished the U.S. generals could be more like Hitler’s generals” which indicated he did not think they were as efficient as Hitler’s generals. Didn’t that tell Kelly something – since he came from the ranks of Obama’s woke U.S. Military? Why didn’t he blame Obama since he was the one who changed the military and government workers into being weaponized since he fired all of the conservative military and government workers and brought in his WOKE folks which was not good.
Trump has hired and fired more people than Kelly can even think about.
Look at Biden/Harris’ whole operation have done a terrible job because they do not have the experience and Trump thought he could work with the other side of the aisle and found out differently after running the government and then made changes. They continued to back stab him and still are.
The reason Obama is in this fray with Harris is he is working with the One World Order/Soros. Their agenda is to do away with our freedom and make us miserable like the rest of the world.

The problem with Kelly and the rest of the folks who have criticized Trump is – the government is full of these types of people who don’t know how to be efficient and wanted to make him look bad. But, in spite of them, he made the country into something that had never been and when Biden came in with his folks we are back in the WOKE business which means no one knows how to run the affairs of the government.
In fact if Trump wins – he needs to retire these people and hire people who can run the government.
As far as Billary is concerned – she is just a miserable “old hussy” who missed her mark in her life struggles and doesn’t want us to forget that.
Hillary Clinton’s latest stunt is nothing more than a pathetic attempt to stay relevant. Her comparison of Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally to a Nazi event in 1939 is not only false but also a disgrace to the memory of those who suffered under real fascism. It’s clear that Clinton will say anything to undermine Trump and secure her place in the media spotlight.
But Americans are waking up. They see through the lies, the smears, and the manipulative tactics. Trump’s supporters aren’t going anywhere, and neither is Trump. He’s fighting for the American people, not for political power or relevance—unlike Hillary.
If Clinton thinks calling Trump a Nazi will work this time, she’s sorely mistaken. The American people are tired of the fear-mongering, the division, and the lies. It’s time to move past the politics of hate and focus on making America strong again.
