My question – if the people are in the system who are over the age of probability (not alive) – are checks being printed for them? If so, where are the checks being sent and who is cashing them (slush fund in the government?) Otherwise, how are they being distinguished from actual living people? Confusing, if they are on the list and not receiving a check?

The Department of Government Efficiency has turned its attention to the Social Security Administration database after Elon Musk claimed that tens of millions of dead people are still collecting benefits.DOGE responded on Monday, saying it was “looking into this,” in reply to a Musk post on X Sunday that stated:

“According to the Social Security database, these are the numbers of people in each age bucket with the death field set to FALSE!” Musk’s post read with a screenshot of a spreadsheet. “Maybe Twilight is real and there are a lot of vampires collecting Social Security.”

Musk’s and DOGE’s efforts at the SSA come as they face pushback over concerns about their access to sensitive data at the SSA and other agencies, like the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Education.

Elon Musk owns Tesla, SpaceX, X (formerly Twitter), Neuralink, xAI and The Boring Company, according to a biography on Tesla’s website. Musk has secured more than $19 billion in federal contracts for Tesla and SpaceX. As of December 2024, Musk’s net worth grew to over $400 billion. He’s considered the first man on the planet to accumulate that much wealth.

The issue of Social Security numbers belonging to people too old to be alive is not new and does not imply widespread fraud. A 2023 audit by the SSA Office of the Inspector General found that 18.9 million Social Security number holders born in 1920 or earlier were not marked as deceased, due to technological changes. However, most of these individuals were not receiving benefits.

Are there millions in the Social Security database aged 100-159?

Yes, but the SSA knows many are presumed dead, and close to none of them receive payments.

The SSA uses death reports from a number of sources to denote when a person with a Social Security number has died and adds the information to a “death master file,” according to the 2023 report. Versions of the death master file are also given to federal benefits agencies and financial institutions to prevent and spot fraud.

The 2023 review found that 18.9 million people born in 1920 or earlier had not been reported dead nor kicked over to the death master file. That accounted for about 3.6% of all the unique Social Security numbers ever made.

“We believe it likely SSA did not receive or record most of the 18.9 million individuals’ death information primarily because the individuals died decades ago − before the use of electronic death reporting,” the report stated.

However, “almost none” of the 18.9 million Social Security number holders born in 1920 or earlier were receiving SSA payments, the 2023 report said, noting there were about 44,000 who were still receiving payments at the time of the audit.

Social Security protocol halts payment at age 115

The agency’s lack of an automatic process to add people’s information to the death master file once they surpass a reasonable life expectancy age was also flagged in an inspector general report in 2015.

As of September 2015, the SSA began to automate terminating benefits once people reached age 115, according to the website.

Musk’s DOGE has attempted to access sensitive information at several federal agencies. The acting commissioner of the SSA left over the weekend after DOGE attempted to access private information, USA TODAY reported.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said President Donald Trump directed Musk and DOGE to identify fraud in the SSA in a Monday appearance on Fox News.

“They suspect that there are tens of millions of deceased people receiving fraudulent Social Security payments,” she said. “Rest assured to all the people … if you paid into the system honestly you will continue to receive your Social Security checks.”

She accused the media of “fearmongering” and was adamant Musk’s reviews would not disrupt payments.

The problem with the U.S. is that we have people in the country who think we have to SAVE THE WORLD FROM THEMSELVES. Charity starts at home as my Mother always spoke. After that you help others in need. You have to build your own base at home – because if you don’t build that base – you can’t extend yourself to help others.

The government should operate in the same way; but, our problem is the people in our country are fighting each other and have lost their way. Our government became greedy with President Clinton/Democrats and built a government on shaky grounds with quick sand and since then the Democrats have been working against the taxpayers – trying to build their own socialist system.

We must work with the President to build and stabilize it by working with Musk to find and end the corruption by the Democrats. That is why it is so hard for them to help because they were the ones who built the DEMOCRATS DEEP STATE corruption – starting with the Clinton’s – it has been all down hill since then.

We must continue usurping the corruption no matter where it leads, correct it, and rebuild our economy and PAY WHAT WE OWE (DEBIT). We must call out the people who caused this and hold them accountable because it will continue if we don’t.

Question – Why would the Democrats want Kamala Harris to run for Governor of California if not to continue using the corruption to build back their party?

Hope the people of that state elect a person who has their head on straight.

Elon Musk expressed interest in a proposal to use savings from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to give taxpayers a “DOGE dividend” payment.

X user James Fishback wrote a post that tagged Musk and outlined his plan to take 20% of the savings found by DOGE to send it back “to hard-working Americans as a tax refund check. It was their money in the first place!”

Fishback noted that if DOGE achieves its goal of cutting $2 trillion in federal spending, that would provide the 78 million taxpaying households in the U.S. with about a $5,000 refund or “DOGE dividend” per household, with the remainder used to pay down the national debt.

“Will check with the President,” Musk replied in response to Fishback’s post.

DOGE claims an estimated $55 billion in savings achieved to date from canceling certain federal leases and contracts, asset sales, fraud deletion, regulatory savings and workforce reductions.

While Musk appeared open to the idea of a DOGE dividend on Tuesday night, he said on Wednesday morning that balancing the budget should be the focus given DOGE’s efforts.

The federal government ran a more than $1.8 trillion budget deficit in fiscal year 2024, according to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).

It’s expected to grow above $2 trillion annually in the years ahead according to the CBO’s projections, leaving DOGE and the Trump administration with a significant gap to close if they intend to balance the budget.

Yes, it does make sense to the people who set up this dog and pony show.

It is time to dig deeper and make the turkeys gobble. This has been going on too long. Did President Clinton/Obama/Biden set up the DEEP STATE with all of the rivers flowing into their pockets? The “crap” has to hit the fan.

There is another step after you find the corruption. Taxpayers are tired of being ripped off by the very people who are supposed to protect the people’s money. Don’t they take an oath?

Sen. Rick Scott baffled by DOGE treasury findings: ‘It makes no sense to anybody’

Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., joins ‘Fox & Friends’ to discuss DOGE claiming to have found $4.7 trillion in untraceable treasury payments and provide an update on the upcoming budget resolution vote.

Okay, so they find all of these payments which do not make any sense. The next step is to look and see who approved the expenses, call them in for an explanation. You don’t okay an expense unless their is some attachment which explains the purpose of the expense; i.e., a bill which references and gives the bill number. If there is no back information than the person who signed off on the check to pay for it needs to be called to the front office and has explaining to do.

Plain and simple, we have to hold people’s nose to the fire who are holding these jobs of authority and are giving the authorization. We can’t allow them to not be accountable.

It is time to make this happen. Check their bank accounts to see if any of the money was directed there.

Something doesn’t smell right! We can’t allow this to continue – this has to be investigated and find the root of the problem..

Another top government official has been axed for refusing to give Elon Musk’s DOGE minions access to sensitive information about millions of Americans.

Michelle King, a 30-year veteran of the Social Security Administration, was serving as the agency’s acting head while the Senate considers President Donald Trump’s nominee for commissioner, Frank Bisignano.

But she was replaced over the weekend after members of Musk’s nebulous cost-cutting task force DOGE—which has been canceling government contracts, demanding access to personal and financial data, and attempting to purge the civil service—demanded access an in internal data system containing confidential information, ABC News reported.

The Social Security Administration holds vast records for millions of Americans, including their benefits information, detailed information about their families, and—if they’ve applied for disability benefits—all of their medical records, according to ABC.

It wasn’t clear if DOGE—which stands for “department” of government efficiency even though it’s not an official department subject to congressional oversight—ultimately accessed the records in question. King was replaced by Leland Dudek, who previously oversaw the SSA fraud investigation office, and then resigned.

DOGE is ‘spreading like bed bugs’ through the government on Musk’s cost cutting quest

Press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed in an interview with Fox News that Trump had unleashed Musk and DOGE on the Social Security Administration to “detect fraud.”

“They haven’t gone into the books yet, but they suspect tens of millions of deceased people who are receiving fraudulent Social Security payments,” she said, providing no explanation as to why they suspected such large-scale fraud.

She also said DOGE was looking for duplicate payments and trying to “protect the integrity of the system.” She didn’t say why they thought anyone would be receiving duplicate payments, or in what way the integrity of the system could be at risk.

King is the latest career civil servant to be pushed out after refusing to give Musk’s team access to private data, the New York Times reported. A top Treasury Department official was also forced to resign after denying DOGE access to the $5 trillion government payment system at the Bureau of the Fiscal Service.

In a statement, White House deputy press secretary Harrison Fields told ABC, “President Trump is committed to appointing the best and most qualified individuals who are dedicated to working on behalf of the American people, not to appease the bureaucracy that has failed them for far too long.”

DOGE reportedly plans to access sensitive information at the Internal Revenue Service next.

The team is staffed by Gen-Z engineers with no public auditing experience who Musk nevertheless claims are qualified to root out waste and fraud. They tend to be Musk acolytes, and some have shared social media posts from white supremacists and ultra-misogynists.

So far Musk claims to have “saved” taxpayers $55 billion, though it’s not clear if that amount is really just tracking all the contracts his team has unilaterally canceled, which could very well be illegal.

Several judges have issued restraining orders temporarily halting the contract cancellations and preventing DOGE members who haven’t been confirmed by the Senate from accessing American’s secret financial and personal data.

Why doesn’t DOGE take a look at the court cases when President Clinton tried cleaning up the government and see how the court handled/interfered with the Dem’s cases and compare it with how the courts are interfering with DOGE’s work. Did they interfere as much as they are with DOGE’s is the question?

DOGE is finding so much corruption in each area.
