KOMMONSENTSJANE – Californians Consider Moving Abroad Amid Election-Driven Anxiety.

11/07/2024

Anyone who doesn’t feel good in the American way and the Constitution – should consider moving to a dictatorial state. It is like a “man beating is wife and his wife enjoys it| and continues to stay in the relationship” because she likes to be the victim.

As the old saying goes – You never miss the water till the well runs dry.

Californians Consider Moving Abroad Amid Election-Driven Anxiety

As the 2024 presidential election reaches its final stages, reports indicate that a growing number of Californians are contemplating moving out of the United States. Anxiety over the outcome of the election between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris has led some to consider drastic steps, with many citing political divisiveness and fear for the future as motivating factors.

According to a report in the Los Angeles Times, global immigration experts have noticed a substantial rise in inquiries from Californians looking for a path out of the country. These inquiries reflect growing unease as the election stirs up deep-seated anxieties and divisions, prompting individuals to explore residency or citizenship options overseas.

For Mykel Dicus, a 54-year-old Californian, the idea of leaving the United States became more than just a passing thought as the election season progressed. “If a regime like MAGA should win this election, I’m very scared,” Dicus shared. His apprehension about a Trump-led administration stems from concerns about domestic policies, cultural divides, and the perceived direction of the country. Seeking a fresh start, Dicus traveled to Spain in September to explore his options and is now working on securing a digital nomad visa, which would allow him to live and work remotely from Spain within the next few year

Dicus’s story echoes the sentiments of many Californians. Basil Mohr Elzeki, the head of North American operations for Henley & Partners—a consultancy firm specializing in global citizenship solutions—says he has seen a notable uptick in the number of Americans interested in relocating abroad. Henley & Partners reports that around 80% of their U.S. clients are motivated by political concerns, with California clients making up a substantial portion of this group.

“They want an option to escape,” Elzeki explained, noting that political turmoil and divisiveness have created an atmosphere of uncertainty that spans the political spectrum. “Now with the election, people have opinions on both ends, and they’re worried.”

The concept of moving abroad has gained momentum among Americans since 2016, with successive election cycles adding to the intensity of interest. Henley & Partners identifies destinations like Antigua and Barbuda, Portugal, Malta, Greece, and Spain as particularly popular for those looking to establish residence outside the United States. For those seeking European residency, programs that allow U.S. citizens to live and work in the European Union are attractive options, especially for those with the flexibility to work remotely.

Jen Barnett, founder of Expatsi, an organization helping Americans find homes abroad, revealed that her website’s traffic surged by 900% after the first debate between Trump and then-President Joe Biden. She and her husband, Brett, moved to Mexico earlier this year, following a long search for a place they felt aligned more closely with their values. Barnett’s motivation to leave the U.S. was partly sparked by Trump’s initial nomination in 2016, which she saw as a signal of deep-rooted changes in American politics.

“Just that he could be nominated to me meant that something was irreparably broken, and it wasn’t something we could get back,” Barnett explained to the Los Angeles Times.

Interestingly, it’s not only liberal Americans who are exploring their options abroad. Amanda Klekowski von Koppenfels, a migration scholar at the University of Kent in Brussels, said, “Anecdotally, I’ve heard more and more folks talking not just about a Trump administration, but about the divisiveness in the country.” Americans on both ends of the political spectrum appear to be unsettled by the escalating tension and partisanship that have defined the past few years.

Marco Permunian, founder of Italian Citizenship Assistance, noted a steady increase in Americans interested in Italian residency since 2016, which has continued during Biden’s presidency. “We came to the conclusion there is a sense of fear in general, and that affects people from both sides of the political spectrum,” Permunian said. He attributes this interest not solely to the election itself but also to broader concerns about political instability, which have persisted and possibly intensified over time.

Patrick Murray, director of the independent Monmouth University Polling Institute, suggests that the hyperpartisan atmosphere has contributed significantly to the rise in Americans wanting to emigrate. “I’d be willing to bet that the partisan rancor of the past few years has played a significant role in the heightened desire to emigrate,” Murray stated.

The desire to move overseas is, for many, an attempt to find stability in what they perceive to be an increasingly unpredictable political landscape in the U.S. With this year’s election poised to reshape the American political arena, it remains to be seen whether the interest in moving abroad will continue to rise. However, for people like Dicus and Barnett, the decision is a deeply personal response to their concerns about the future of the United States.

As the results unfold, immigration experts anticipate that demand for relocation services will continue to climb. For those contemplating a life outside the U.S., popular destinations are likely to see a steady influx of American expatriates seeking both political and personal refuge, hoping for a more predictable and peaceful existence abroad.

Trump Announces Strategy to Dismantle the Deep State and Reform Washington

President-elect Donald Trump has unveiled a comprehensive plan to dismantle the so-called “Deep State,” targeting what he calls entrenched corruption in Washington, D.C. The announcement outlined a series of sweeping reforms aimed at reducing bureaucratic overreach, increasing government transparency, and restoring accountability in federal institutions.

“Here’s my plan to dismantle the Deep State and reclaim our democracy from Washington corruption, once and for all,” Trump declared in a video released this week.

A cornerstone of Trump’s strategy is reissuing a 2020 Executive Order that grants the President broad authority to remove federal employees considered “rogue bureaucrats.” Trump stressed his intention to use this power aggressively.

“I will immediately reissue my 2020 Executive Order, restoring the President’s authority to remove rogue bureaucrats, and I will wield that power very aggressively,” he said.

This move aims to root out individuals within federal agencies who Trump claims act against the administration’s agenda or hold undue influence.

Trump accused national security and intelligence agencies of being “weaponized” to target conservatives and Christians. To address this, he promised a complete overhaul of these institutions to prevent perceived political persecution.

“The departments and agencies that have been weaponized will be completely overhauled so that faceless bureaucrats will never again be able to target and persecute conservatives, Christians, or the left’s political enemies,” he said.

The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) courts, which oversee surveillance warrants, are also in Trump’s crosshairs. He alleged that these courts have been complicit in approving flawed warrant applications.

“We will totally reform FISA courts, which are so corrupt that the judges seemingly do not care when they are lied to in warrant applications,” Trump stated, promising stricter oversight and reforms to ensure accountability.

To promote transparency, Trump proposed creating a Truth and Reconciliation Commission. This body would declassify and release documents related to alleged Deep State activities, including surveillance and censor

“We will establish a Truth and Reconciliation Commission to declassify and publish all documents on Deep State spying, censorship, and corruption,” he explained.

Addressing government leaks, Trump pledged to crack down on individuals who collaborate with media outlets to spread what he called “false narratives.”

“We will launch a major crackdown on government leakers who collude with the fake news to deliberately weave false narratives and to subvert our government and our democracy,” he said.

Trump plans to ensure that Inspector General offices are independent from the departments they investigate. This structural change is intended to prevent potential conflicts of interest

“We will make every Inspector General’s Office independent and physically separated from the departments they oversee so they do not become the protectors of the Deep State,” Trump emphasized.

Additionally, Trump proposed an independent auditing system for intelligence agencies. He said this would help monitor and prevent unauthorized surveillance on American citizens or election interference.

“I will ask Congress to establish an independent auditing system to continually monitor our intelligence agencies to ensure they are not spying on our citizens or running disinformation campaigns against the American people,” he noted.

As part of his broader effort to reduce the federal government’s footprint in Washington, Trump proposed relocating thousands of federal jobs to other parts of the country.

“Just as I moved the Bureau of Land Management to Colorado, as many as 100,000 government positions could be moved out, and I mean immediately, of Washington to places filled with patriots who love America,” Trump stated.

Trump also took aim at the “revolving door” between federal agencies and private industries. He proposed banning federal bureaucrats from taking jobs in the industries they regulate to prevent conflicts of interest.

“They deal with these companies, and they regulate these companies, and then they want to take jobs from these companies. Does it work that way?” Trump asked, singling out Big Pharma as an example.

As part of his long-term vision, Trump advocated for a constitutional amendment to impose term limits on members of Congress. He argued that this measure is vital to prevent career politicians from accumulating too much influence.

“This is how I will shatter the Deep State and restore government that is controlled by the people and for the people,” Trump concluded.

Through these proposed measures, Trump seeks to reshape federal institutions and reinforce a government accountable to the American people. His plan reflects his long-standing commitment to addressing what he views as systemic corruption and bureaucratic inertia.

As Trump prepares to take office, the success of his proposed reforms will depend on congressional support and public backing. Whether these changes will effectively dismantle the so-called Deep State remains to be seen, but the announcement has already stirred significant political debate.

“I hope we once again have reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. There’s a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: as government expands, liberty contracts.” Ronald Reagan.

Dr. Benjamin Carson Shares Mother’s Poem, “Yourself to Blame, By:  Mayme White Miller.”

The poem (below) and the legacy of Dr. Benjamin Carson, Pediatric Neurosurgeon,  should serve as an inspiration for all.

America is Beautiful and exceptional.

*********************

“Yourself to Blame.”

If things go bad for you
And make you a bit ashamed
Often you will find out that
You have yourself to blame

Swiftly we ran to mischief
And then the bad luck came
Why do we fault others?
We have ourselves to blame

Whatever happens to us,
Here is what we say
“Had it not been for so-and-so
Things wouldn’t have gone that way.”

And if you are short of friends,
I’ll tell you what to do
Make an examination,
You’ll find the faults in you…

You’re the captain of your ship,
So agree with the same
If you travel downward
You have yourself to blame

Author: Mayme White Miller

Be inspired. Look beyond the blame and let no one distract you from your goals, nor convince you otherwise.

Dr. Carson”s common sense facts much needed and appreciated We need more of the same…Everyone needs to join together.  Our young ones need guidance from those with wisdom and those who have walked the walk.

Amen!

What happened? Plain and simple. Democrats should listen – Hollywood is not the mouth piece to send out as spokes people in elections.

The Democrats didn’t follow the Constitution and veered off course with their hate – so here they are.

It all started with Pelosi/Obama/Clooney’s star-studded event in CA to soak up big dollars for Joe Biden. After they faked/raked old Joe then Pelosi asked Joe to stand down after his fatal debate with Trump failed – they knew they were in trouble.

They faked it with Joe’s dementia in the 2020 election by keeping him in the basement and it still is not clear – did he win or did they cheat for him to win? It has been said both ways. History always proves itself. And, they tried to continue to fake it with Joe in 2024/ Then it got to the point – they couldn’t keep him in the basement any longer after his bad debate.

The background story of Kamala Harris was she ran against Joe in the primary election and lost and did not get even ONE VOTE. And,, they still tried to sell her to the public by replacing Joe with her which did not follow the Constitutional process.

So, here we are – in the end the Democrats didn’t fool anyone with their candidate – they selected her – not the voting process and GOT STUNG.

Therefore, in the end – it wasn’t Biden’s fault he was a solid candidate by coming through the right process. Then, you have the Tim Walz’ pick as vice president – which was as far left as Harris which was not good for the country.

It was Pelosi/Obama/Clooney who should be blamed for trying to cheat – don’t blame Joe Biden – he was the victim in this story.

Democrats Implode: The Blame Game Over Harris’ Loss Begins

The dust has barely settled on the latest election, and already, the Democrats are pointing fingers, placing blame, and, quite frankly, eating each other alive. With Kamala Harris’ embarrassing defeat to Donald Trump, the old party of “unity” has descended into a battlefield of infighting and “if only” scenarios, and it’s quite the spectacle.

Kamala’s Running Mate Disaster: The “Tim Walz Problem”

The decision to pick Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as Harris’ running mate is getting more flak than a B-17 Flying Fortress during a WW2 Bombing run. Why? According to key Democratic operatives, Walz was just too “folksy,” too tied to the 2020 riots in Kenosha, and way too left-leaning for mainstream America. Party insiders are arguing that Harris should have gone with Josh Shapiro, the “charismatic” Pennsylvania governor. But hey, why pick someone who might appeal to working-class voters when you can go with a guy who, to many Americans, represents everything that’s gone wrong with the “woke” leadership of the Left?

Democratic strategist Lindy Li put it plainly, wondering aloud what might have been if Harris had paired up with Shapiro. And apparently, she’s not alone. Many on the inside thought Shapiro would have softened Harris’ image—moving her away from that classic “San Francisco liberal” label Trump branded her with. But Harris picked someone even further to the left. Maybe next time, they’ll realize that the middle ground isn’t so scary after all

Harris’ Failure to Stake Out Her Own Positio

Beyond the VP pick, Harris’ critics within her own party are grumbling about her inability to stake out clear policy positions and put some distance between herself and the outgoing Biden administration. In an eye-rolling moment on The View, Haris was asked what she’d have done differently from Biden over the last four years. Her response? A bold, inspiring, “There is not a thing that comes to mind.” In other words, she couldn’t name a single policy where she’d have taken a stand of her own. Talk about reassuring leadership…

This lack of distinction might have seemed like loyalty, but it didn’t help when Biden’s approval ratings tanked. Standing by his every move ended up looking more like political quicksand than a solid platform. If Harris thought it would give her a free pass with voters, she was sorely mistaken. Democrats are now saying that her refusal to step out of Biden’s shadow only hurt her more.

The Demographic Fallout: The Great Divi

Meanwhile, the Democratic coalition—famously known for covering every base—is splintering. White women didn’t show up in the numbers the party needed, and Black men switched to Trump in higher numbers than anticipated. MSNBC’s Joy Reid bluntly pointed fingers at white women voters in North Carolina, accusing them of abandoning Harris. Yet, curiously, Reid had less to say about the trend among Black men moving to Trump, which exit polls show rose by about 5%. Hispanic voters shifted even more significantly, with Trump gaining 45% support in this election.

It seems this “big tent” is starting to develop some noticeable leaks, and Democratic leaders are now scrambling to figure out where they went wrong. Funny how that happens when you stop listening to the concerns of real working Americans and start prioritizing Twitter trends over kitchen-table issues.

Biden’s Delay Didn’t Help Either

As if Harris didn’t have enough hurdles, another piece of criticism flying around is aimed squarely at Joe Biden. Many are saying that Biden’s decision to stay in the race for so long—despite his faltering support and rough debate performance—was a mistake. NBC’s Kristen Welker noted during election night that Biden should have bowed out much earlier, giving Harris a better chance to establish herself or letting the Democrats open up the field to new blood. Biden staying in only to bow out late in the game? Not exactly the passing of the torch Harris likely envisioned.

CNN’s Van Jones, once a key Obama adviser, chimed in with a critique of Harris’ campaign strategy, zeroing in on the campaign’s flashy, celebrity-filled rallies. According to Jones, working-class voters simply don’t have the time (or money) for star-studded events. “People have to choose between paying for babysitters to attend these big concerts or actually getting to the polls,” Jones observed. Turns out, glamor doesn’t win over voters struggling with everyday expenses.

The Lessons of the Harris-Walz Ticket

So what’s the moral of this story? The Democrats banked on an image-driven campaign without substantial policy distinctions. They assumed they could win by pointing fingers at Trump rather than laying out a bold vision. And now, the blame game has started. They’re left wondering if maybe, just maybe, they should have focused on the issues that matter to middle-class Americans, rather than pushing ideological experiments that left voters feeling disconnected.

In the end, the Democrats got caught in their own echo chamber, and it’s now glaringly obvious that their coalition is far from united. The Left may talk a lot about unity and progress, but when it comes down to it, their biggest obstacle might just be their inability to figure out what their own voters want. As they say, the first step is admitting you have a problem. But from the looks of it, the Democrats are a long way from political rehab.

****

Yes, they have a divided party brought about by Obama who first divided the country. Obama has been in bed with the Iran/Hamas group against Israel from day one. They will have to sort that out themselves.

Now with President Trump – he will work with both groups to seek peace and stop this killing on both sides from the way I see it. The most telling piece was when Iran/Hamas started the war with Israel and the Palestine’s had to flee – none of the countries in the Middle East would allow Hamas into their countries? Doesn’t that tell us something?

In my opinion, the countries who have hired terrorists should be called out and made to disband these people. The countries have armies of their own but pay the terrorists to do their dirty work. This has to be stopped. Where is the United Nations and the World Court?

Stop the wars and the killing of innocent people.
