KOMMONSENTSJANE – Trump Taps ‘Tireless Defender’ Harmeet K. Dhillon For Major DOJ Role.

12/11/2024

This is the best news since sliced bread. I have never watched this person on TV that I wasn’t impressed with her presentation. Thank you, Mr. President.

Image of Dhillon who Google blocks from appearing. In fact, this is one of the examples that Dhillon can stop and that is to help conservatives show what they think/write. What is wrong with showing Dhillon beautiful photo on this page?

Some of your picks aren’t as well known as others. As the saying goes, “Trust, but verify.” We did that with Wray and we found out we verified him – but he and others didn’t end up in the “trust’ column. Sad, but – true. With that many picks – all that can be done – is to keep “pickin’ and grinin’.” In Wray’s exit discussion, the question should be posed to him – WHY DID HE DEFECT THE PEOPLE and go with Obama/Biden/Pelosi? In fact, that should be a question for all Democrats who leave the employment of the government after the inauguration.

It’s been one month since Donald Trump won the presidential election over Kamala Harris. Afterward, many would have taken a break to enjoy their victory after an exhausting campaign.

Not Trump, however.

Instead, he’s spent the weeks since Election Day tirelessly putting his administration together. He’s assembled a team of impressive patriots who will help him in his quest to make America great again.

On Monday evening, Trump announced yet another pick to his administration. This “tireless defender” does indeed seem to be the perfect person for this role.

FromTruth Social:
I am pleased to nominate Harmeet K. Dhillon as Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Justice. Throughout her career, Harmeet has stood up consistently to protect our cherished Civil Liberties, including taking on Big Tech for censoring our Free Speech, representing Christians who were prevented from praying together during COVID, and suing corporations who use woke policies to discriminate against their workers.

Harmeet is one of the top Election lawyers in the Country, fighting to ensure that all, and ONLY, legal votes are counted. She is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Virginia Law School, and clerked in the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Harmeet is a respected member of the Sikh religious community. In her new role at the DOJ, Harmeet will be a tireless defender of our Constitutional Rights, and will enforce our Civil Rights and Election Laws FAIRLY and FIRMLY.

Congratulations, Harmeet!

Dhillon was quick to thank Trump for putting her in this role.

by Taboola

“I’m extremely honored by President Trump’s nomination to assist with our nation’s civil rights agenda,” Dhillon said.

“It has been my dream to be able to serve our great country, and I am so excited to be part of an incredible team of lawyers led by Pam Bondi,” she continued. “I cannot wait to get to work!”

Dhillon’s Background

Dhillon has helped Trump in various court battles through her law firm The Dhillon Law Group. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dhillon tirelessly defended Christians who were being banned from praying together. She also went after companies that discriminated against their employees with woke policies.

Dhillon has previously held GOP roles in California. Last year, she challenged Ronna McDaniel to lead the Republican National Committee.

Also on Monday evening, Trump announced that Mark Paoletta will be returning as general counsel of the Office of Management and Budget. In a separate Truth Social post, Trump described Paoletta as “a brilliant and tenacious lawyer, who worked tirelessly to advance my Agenda in the First Term.”

Trump went on to say that Paoletta “will work closely with our DOGE team to cut the size of our bloated Government bureaucracy, and root out wasteful and anti-American spending.”

“Mark is a conservative warrior who knows the ‘ins and outs’ of Government – He will help us, Make America Great Again!” Trump concluded.

Dhillon and Paoletta seem like the perfect editions to the Trump administration. We can’t wait to watch them make America great again over the next four years!

KOMMONSENTSJANE – CLAIRE JUST DOESN’T GET IT. STILL LYING.

*****

Claire – your side lost – get it?
We are in a new era – don’t you think it is time to let the system work for a change under the Constitution which your side doesn’t use.

Former Sen. Claire McCaskill and former President Donald Trump.
This is an adapted excerpt from the Dec. 9 episode of “Deadline: White House.”

During an interview with NBC News’ Kristen Welker on “Meet the Press,” Donald Trump was asked whether he intends to fire FBI Director Christoper Wray, a man the president-elect himself appointed during his first term.

Trump responded by railing against Wray, telling Welker he was “unhappy with the things he [Wray has] done.” He then accused the FBI director of invading his home — a reference to the court-approved search of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property after he refused to return classified documents taken from the White House during his presidency

(Claire – doesn’t get the jest – Obama/Pelosi worked to weaponized the WHOLE government – that doesn’t bither her a bot? That is okay as a Senator whose job was to protect the Constitution?)

I recently saw the movie “The Apprentice” and it crystallized, for me, what Trump’s entire communication strategy is. It’s pretty simple, there are three things central to Trump’s philosophy: First, always attack. Second, lie whenever you need to. And third, never admit you’re wrong.

(Sounds like the Democrats/Pelosi play book? Claire has it all figured out!)

And if you look at his interview with Welker, that’s exactly the formula Trump followed. He tried to turn every question that was asked of him into an attack on someone else. He lied when he needed to, and he refused to admit that he was wrong about anything.

(The Good Lord knows when people are lying, don’t they Claire?)

To that end, during the same interview, Trump made a threat against members of the Jan. 6 committee, telling Welker they should “go to jail.” Former Rep. Adam Kinzinger, who served on the committee then responded to that threat, told CNN he has “absolutely no worries” the president-elect will try to put him in jail.

(Claire – Facts aren’t THREATS.)

“First off, the executive branch can’t go after the legislative branch because we embarrassed him,” he said on Sunday. “That’s not a sin, that’s not against the law.” Kinzinger basically told Trump to bring it on. It’s the perfect response to the president-elect’s strategy of attacks and lies.

Now, I’m not saying that Trump can’t disrupt people’s lives with investigations — the power of a prosecutor to ruin someone’s life without ever bringing charges is real.

(Your statement above is what the Democrats have been doing to President Trump since DAY ONE – is that where you are coming from?)

But having said that, whether it’s a civil or a criminal case, Trump and the lawyers who surround him know that the Constitution says defendants get a jury trial. They also know that in a criminal trial, the jury must agree unanimously, beyond a reasonable doubt, that a crime was committed. You can’t prove that without evidence, and prosecutors, frankly, don’t bring cases without evidence.

So despite the bluffs and bluster central to Trump’s communications strategy, a lot of his threats, as Kinzinger says, are just howling.

(A young lady was killed that day, Jan6, and the two of you call that bluff/bluster?)

Claire – your Democrats lost in the 2024 election. Your side didn’t (doesn’t) follow the Constitution. Now that we have the Constitution back in play – let’s just wait and see what happens with Jan6. Senator Fetterman is right – your side has been playing dirty since President Trump decided to run. You now have only have half of a party since your party is split in half – half for Hamas/half for Israel.

Just remember, you and “Zinger” now only have one vote that counts as a citizen.

Enough of your lying.

KOMMONSENTSJANE – GOP Senator Calls Out NBC for Selectively Omitting Key Words from 14th Amendment in Trump Interview.

Donald Trump reveals message to Kamala Harris supporters during ‘Meet the Press’

Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah., took NBC News to task for “selectively omitting” a key part of the 14th Amendment in a question about birthright citizenship during an interview with President-elect Donald Trump on Sunday.

Trump was asked about a number of changes he intends to implement once he assumes office during a sit down released on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” including his plan to end birthright citizenship.  Under the 14th Amendment, someone born in the U.S. is granted citizenship regardless of whether their parents are citizens. Trump confirmed that he intends to end the policy “on Day One,” calling it “ridiculous.”

NBC host Kristen Welker pushed back, arguing that the 14th Amendment “states all persons in the United States are citizens. Can you get around the 14th Amendment with executive action?” she asked.

Donald Trump said he planned to end birthright citizenship on Day One in an interview on ‘Meet the Press.’

Trump said he was open to using executive action, reiterating that the U.S. is “the only country has it” and “we have to end it.”

Lee shared a clip of the exchange on X later Sunday, rebuking the NBC host for omitting six critical words from the 14th Amendment in her question to Trump.

“All persons born … in the United States, *and subject to the jurisdiction thereof,* shall be citizens of the United States,” Lee wrote on X, highlighting the missing words in asterisks.

“Those words matter,” he added.

The senator continued to break down the issue in a lengthy 12-part thread.

“Congress has the power to define what it means to be born in the United States ‘and subject to the jurisdiction thereof,'” he wrote.

” While current law contains no such restriction, Congress could pass a law defining what it means to be born in the United States ‘and subject to the jurisdiction thereof,’ excluding prospectively from birthright citizenship individuals born in the U.S. to illegal aliens.

“Those who suggest Congress is somehow powerless to limit birthright citizenship ignore important constitutional text giving Congress power define who among those ‘born in the United States’ is born subject to the jurisdiction thereof.

“It bothers me that@MeetThePress, long revered as America’s leading Sunday political news program, has become so one-sided,” he continued.

“In this instance, @MeetThePress seems to try to render a debatable matter beyond debate by selectively omitting key words from the Constitution, making it appear incorrectly that the Fourteenth Amendment proscribes any and all restrictions on birthright citizenship.”

NBC did not respond to Fox News Digital when asked whether the omission was intentional.

Trump addressed a number of other topics during the wide-ranging interview, including his plan to restore the country’s reputation globally, his thoughts on FBI Director Christopher Wray, and how he plans to unify a fractured country in his inaugural address.

“It’s going to be a message of unity, and I think success brings unity. And I’ve experienced that. I’ve experienced it in my first term, as I’ve said. We’re going to be talking about unity, and we’re going to be talking about success. Making our country safe. Keeping people that shouldn’t be in our country out, we have to do that. I know it doesn’t sound nice, but we have to do that. Basically, it’s going to be about bringing our country together,” Trump said.

In his first broadcast interview since the election, President-elect Donald Trump put to bed the notion he’d try to fire the chair of the Federal Reserve before his term expires in 2026. NBC’s Kristen Welker asked Trump during the hour-long exchange if he would try to replace Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell.

“No, I don’t think so,” Trump replied. “I think if I told him to, he would, but if I asked him to, he probably wouldn’t, but if I told him to, he would.”

“You don’t have plans to do that, right?” Welker followed up.
