As seen thru the LEFT’S microscope.

A specimen that is right-side up and facing right on the microscope slide will appear upside-down and facing left when viewed through a microscope, and vice versa.

Over EXUBERANCE?

Exuberance?

Elon Musk has caused outrage over a one-armed gesture he gave during a speech celebrating the inauguration of Donald Trump.

Musk thanked the crowd for “making it happen”, before placing his right hand over his heart and then thrusting the same arm out into air straight ahead of him. He then turned and repeated the action for those sitting behind him.

Many on X, the social medial platform he owns, have likened the gesture to a Nazi salute.

In response, Musk posted on X: “Frankly, they need better dirty tricks. The ‘everyone is Hitler’ attack is sooo tired.”

Musk, the world’s richest man and a close ally of President Trump, was speaking at the Capital One Arena in Washington DC when he made the gesture.

“My heart goes out to you. It is thanks to you that the future of civilisation is assured,” he said, after giving the second one-armed salute.

There was immediate backlash on social media.

Claire Aubin, a historian who specializes in Nazism within the United States, said Musk’s gesture was a “sieg heil”, or Nazi salute.

“My professional opinion is that you’re all right, you should believe your eyes,” she posted on X, in reference to those who believed the gesture to be an overt reference to Nazis.

Ruth Ben-Ghiat, a history professor at New York University, said: “Historian of fascism here. It was a Nazi salute and a very belligerent one too.”

Andrea Stroppa, a close confidant of Musk who has acted as a middleman between the billionaire and far-right Italian PM Giorgia Meloni, further added to the controversy after he posted the clip of Musk with “Roman Empire is back starting from Roman salute”.

The Roman salute was widely used in Italy by Benito Mussolini’s Fascist Party, before later being adopted by Adolf Hitler in Germany.

Stroppa later deleted his post and attempted to backtrack.

“That gesture, which some mistook for a Nazi salute, is simply Elon, who has autism, expressing his feelings by saying, ‘I want to give my heart to you’,” he said.

“That is exactly what he communicated into the microphone. ELON DISLIKES EXTREMISTS!”

The gesture comes as Musk’s politics have increasingly shifted to the right. He has made recent statements in support of Germany’s far-right AfD party and British anti-immigration party Reform UK

But some have defended him, including the Anti-Defamation League, an organisation founded to combat anti-Semitism.

“It seems that Elon Musk made an awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm, not a Nazi salute,” the group posted on X.

Musk has become one of Trump’s closet allies and has been tapped to co-lead what the president has termed the Department of Government Efficiency.

Beauty in the eye of the beholder’ has a literal meaning – that the perception of beauty is subjective – what one person finds beautiful another may not.

Time to stop squabbling about unimportant things and get busy and make the changes President Trump has discussed. The left is trying to stall making the changes.

KOMMONSENTSJANE – Victor Davis Hanson: ‘Donald Trump’s shocking Obama and Biden attack shows he won’t play by the rules.’

Historian Victor Davis Hanson has claimed former US presidents Barack Obama, George W Bush and Bill Clinton appeared shocked during Donald Trump’s inauguration speech as they realised he would “cancel everything” they had achieved.

Speaking on GBN America, Victor Davis Hanson said the former presidents’ faces revealed their dismay as Trump detailed his plans during Monday’s ceremony at the US Capitol.

“You could see the faces of our former presidents… they thought, ‘oh my God, this man is a revolutionary,” Hanson said.

Hanson described how Trump laid out his “plan of attack”, including ending illegal immigration, addressing “anchor babies” through reinterpreting the 14th amendment, and stopping “catch and release” policies.Victor Davis Hanson and Donald Trump

The historian said the former presidents are all fearful of their legacies being scuppered by Trump.

“Everybody thought he would hold back, but he doesn’t play by the markers of the Queensbury rules,” Hanson said of Trump’s approach to addressing his predecessors.Donald Trump

Trump’s inauguration speech included several dramatic policy announcements, including plans to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America”.

The former president also declared there would only be two recognised genders – male and female – and announced US withdrawal from both the Paris climate agreement and World Health Organisation.

He pledged to sign approximately 200 executive orders on his first day, including measures to tackle illegal immigration and declare cartels as foreign terrorist organisations.

Trump also vowed to pursue a new era of oil and gas exploration, declaring “drill, baby, drill”.

During the ceremony, former presidents displayed visible reactions to Trump’s declarations. Obama was caught asking Bush “How can we stop what’s happening?”, prompting chuckles from the 43rd president.

Hillary Clinton was seen laughing during Trump’s announcement about renaming the Gulf of Mexico.

Later that evening, Trump revealed which former president he would seek advice from, praising Bill Clinton as having “a great political sense” while notably excluding Obama and Bush.

Hanson explained Trump’s confrontational approach stemmed from his treatment by his predecessors and political opponents.

“They impeached me twice. They tried to get me off the ballot. They waged lawfare in five different jurisdictions against me,” Hanson quoted Trump’s perspective.

“His view of the world is these people are pretty nasty… they’re not nice people and I’m not going to play by their rules, I’m going to call them out for what they are,” the historian added.

The history behind their nastiness is a given.

KOMMONSENTSJANE -Carrie Underwood Has Triumphant Moment at Trump Inauguration Amid Musical Mishap.

Carrie Underwood wowed the world at President Trump’s inauguration on Monday, showing off her musical and professional talents.

  1. Watch on

Chosen to perform “America the Beautiful” at the 60th Presidential Inauguration Ceremony inside the U.S. Capitol Rotunda, Underwood was escorted in and waited for her musical cue. Trump, his family, politicians, and celebrities were all in attendance.

The cue never came.

Standing in front of former President Biden, Underwood quickly realized the instrumental track wasn’t working. She didn’t miss a beat. “If you know the words, help me out here,” she said before launching into an a cappella performance. Afterward, she clapped for the audience who joined in, then turned and shook Biden’s hand.

She shared brief moments with President Trump and Vice President JD Vance before leaving the room.

Social media exploded with praise for her handling of the mishap. “That was a super awkward moment, but Carrie Underwood worked through it like a champ!” one user wrote on X. “This was bad—,” another commented.

One fan summed it up perfectly: “Now that is a flex. Imagine being so talented that when technology fails, you just go, ‘Fine, I’ll do it live!’ and crush it a cappella in front of thousands. Carrie Underwood doesn’t need auto-tune; auto-tune probably takes notes from her.”

Another chimed in, “This pretty much sums up the spirit of America. When you’re faced with a problem, you don’t stop. You keep moving ahead – proudly. Kudos to @carrieunderwood. Well done!” Someone added, “She just demonstrated Trump’s words… We will overcome any challenge and win!”

Underwood, who typically stays away from politics, had confirmed her inauguration performance last week. “I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event,” she said in a statement.

“I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future,” she added.

What a trouper! Beautiful job.

Biden Issues Last-Minute Pardons to Family Members and Trump Critics

Biden missed one – President Trump’s pardon for the eight years the Democrats persecuted him. That should have been the first one; but, God will take care of Joe on that account.

President Joe Biden issued a wave of preemptive pardons on Monday, shielding prominent critics of President-elect Donald Trump and members of his own family. This bold move aimed to guard against revenge from his successor while ensuring his relatives won’t face future prosecutions.

Clemency was granted to Gen. Mark Milley, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and members of Congress from the January 6 committee. Minutes before Trump’s inauguration, Biden extended pardons to his brothers James and Frank, his sister Valerie, and their spouses.

These last-minute pardons showcased Biden’s unparalleled use of presidential power. They safeguarded outspoken Trump critics like Liz Cheney, who has been a target of Trump’s retribution promises. Biden also protected his family, perhaps setting a new precedent for incoming presidents.

“My family has been subjected to unrelenting attacks and threats, motivated solely by a desire to hurt me—the worst kind of partisan politics,” Biden said in a statement. “Unfortunately, I have no reason to believe these attacks will end.”

The decision was driven, in part, by Trump’s public pledge to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Biden and his family, a source familiar with the matter revealed. Several Biden family members had already faced scrutiny before a House Oversight panel on influence-peddling allegations.

The dramatic announcement came as Biden prepared to attend Trump’s inauguration. Moments earlier, the two presidents had joined their spouses for a tea reception in the White House Blue Room.

“Even when individuals have done nothing wrong and will ultimately be exonerated, the mere fact of being investigated or prosecuted can irreparably damage their reputations and finances,” Biden said, defending his actions.

Biden emphasized the need for the pardons, stating he “in good conscience” couldn’t stand by while politically motivated investigations wreak havoc. He described these circumstances as exceptional and his actions as necessary to protect those unfairly targeted.

The outgoing president also granted clemency to Leonard Peltier, an indigenous activist convicted in the 1975 killing of two FBI agents. The 80-year-old’s sentence was commuted to home confinement, allowing him to serve the remainder of his time with family.
