KOMMONSENTSJANE – Zuckerberg Tells Court That Facebook Is No Longer About Connecting With Friends.

In a federal antitrust testimony, Zuckerberg has admitted that Facebook's mission of connecting users is no longer a priority.

In a federal antitrust testimony, Zuckerberg has admitted that Facebook’s mission of connecting users is no longer a priority.

As times change, so do mission statements, especially in the fast-and-loose world of tech. In recent months, we’ve seen Google walk back its pledge to “do no evil,” and OpenAI quietly delete a policy prohibiting its software’s use for “military technology.”

Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook is no exception. Its 2008 motto, “Facebook helps you connect and share with the people in your life,” is now a distant memory — according to Zuckerberg himself, who testified this week that Facebook’s main purpose “wasn’t really to connect with friends anymore.”

“The friend part has gone down quite a bit,” Zuckerberg said, according to Business Insider.

Instead, he says that the platform has evolved away from that model — its original claim to fame, as old heads will recall — in its over 20 years of life, becoming “more of a broad discovery and entertainment space,” which is apparently exec-speak for “endless feed of AI slop.”

The tech bigwig was speaking as a witness at a federal antitrust case launched by the Federal Trade Commission against Meta, the now-parent company to WhatsApp, Instagram, Threads, and Oculus.

The FTC’s case hinges on a series of messages sent by Zuckerberg and his executives regarding a strategy of buying other social media platforms outright, rather than compete with them in the free and open market — a scheme that’s more the rule than the exception for Silicon Valley whales like GoogleAmazon, and Microsoft.Related video: Meta may be forced to sell Instagram and WhatsApp (WHAS-TV Louisville)

The FTC alleges that Meta began its monopolistic streak as early as 2008, when Zuckerberg buzzed that “it’s better to buy than compete” in a series of emails about then-rival platform Instagram. He finally got its hands on Instagram in 2012, after sending a memo that Facebook — which changed its name to Meta in 2021 — “had” to buy the photo-sharing app for $1 billion, fearing competition and a bidding war with fast-growing platforms like Twitter.

“The businesses are nascent but the networks are established,” Zuckerberg wrote in a leaked email about startup platforms Instagram and Path. “The brands are already meaningful and if they grow to a large scale they could be very disruptive to us.”

“It’s an email written by someone who recognized Instagram as a threat and was forced to sacrifice a billion dollars because Meta could not meet that threat through competition,” said the FTC’s lead counselor, Daniel Matheson.

Those internal memos are now smoking guns in what could be the biggest antitrust case since the infamous AT&T breakup of 1982, which had many similarities to the FTC’s suit against Meta. Back then, AT&T held unrivaled market influence that it used to box out smaller fish and shape laws to its whims — to chase profit above all, in other words.

Meta, in parallel, has spent millions lobbying lawmakers, is the dominant player in online advertising, and currently wields a market cap of $1.34 trillion — higher than the value of all publicly traded companies in South Korea, for perspective.

The FTC’s challenge will depend on whether federal prosecutors can convince US District Judge James Boasberg that Meta’s acquisitions of Instagram and WhatsApp were illegal by notoriously weak US antitrust standards. They’ll have no help from Boasberg, an Obama appointee, who has voiced skepticism with cases against Meta in the past.

“The [FTC] faces hard questions about whether its claims can hold up in the crucible of trial,” Boasberg said in late 2024, adding that “its positions at times strain this country’s creaking antitrust precedents to their limits.”

Whatever happens, it’s clear that Zuckerberg has moved on from the idealism of the early internet — to the sloppified money-grubbing of whatever it is we have now.

Rep. Jared Golden (D-ME) has supported President Trump’s tariff policies in a pro-Trump district where he has won multiple close elections. As a prominent advocate, he urged the administration to maintain its tariff agenda despite resistance from a handful of Republicans and House Democrats. Golden also introduced legislation to establish a universal 10-percent tariff on all imports, arguing that this could reduce trade deficits and benefit American families.

It is a breath of fresh air to see that a lot of Democrats have this same feeling. We cannot let the Senator Sanders/AOC’s lead us to the altar of SOCIALISM/VULGARITY about our Christianity.

DOJ Releases 700 Pages on Crossfire Hurricane: FBI Informant Stefan Halper and More Featured Prominently

Stefan Halper, a figure once shrouded in mystery, has emerged prominently in newly released documents linked to the Crossfire Hurricane investigation. These documents, 700 pages in total, were handed over to Congress and then to Just the News, offering a deeper look at the controversial probe. John Solomon, an investigative journalist known for his work on Just the News, disclosed these findings on Real America’s Voice, emphasizing Halper’s role and the substantial taxpayer dollars involved.

The Crossfire Hurricane documents, intended for release by President Trump in January 2021, were initially withheld by the FBI. It was only after legal battles that these crucial pages became public, shedding light on the FBI’s internal operations. Solomon’s report suggests that these documents reveal two informants, including Halper, who played pivotal roles in the investigation against Trump and his campaign.

Halper, not as widely recognized as Christopher Steele, the author of the infamous dossier, was nonetheless instrumental. For nearly three decades, Halper operated as a confidential human source for the FBI, amassing close to $1.2 million for his services. His last payment, $70,000, was specifically for his involvement in the Crossfire Hurricane investigation targeting Trump’s campaign.

Despite the financial rewards, Halper’s reliability was questionable. The FBI continued to use him as a source, even when his information was proven false or misleading. One notable incident involved Halper alleging that Mike Flynn, Trump’s future National Security Advisor, had questionable ties with a Russian woman during a 2014 conference.

This Russian woman, Svetlana Lokhova, later sought legal action against Halper, accusing him of defamation. The FBI, however, proceeded with payments for the misleading information he provided. In February 2021, Joe Hoft at The Gateway Pundit reported on Halper’s role in attempting to undermine Trump, describing his intel as baseless yet still pursued by the FBI.

Conservative Treehouse highlighted how the FBI engaged Halper to target Trump’s 2016 campaign, framing a narrative of Russian collusion. Halper agreed to become a confidential human source, secretly recording conversations with Trump campaign members. Despite evidence that Carter Page, a campaign aide, had no Russian ties, the FBI pursued a FISA surveillance warrant against him.

The newly released documents, shared by Solomon, underscore the controversial use of Halper as a key source in the FBI’s investigation. Despite his addiction issues, Halper was utilized in what some describe as an attempted coup against President Trump. This raises significant concerns about the integrity of the investigation and the resources allocated to questionable sources.

A tweet by Techno Fog, a prominent online commentator, highlighted the destruction of Halper’s case file, sparking curiosity about the motives behind such actions. The revelation of Halper’s addiction to crack cocaine further complicates the narrative. This information has fueled debates about the credibility of those involved in the Crossfire Hurricane probe.

The Crossfire Hurricane investigation, now viewed with increased skepticism, began as an inquiry into potential Russian interference in the 2016 election. However, the role of figures like Halper paints a different picture. Critics argue that the investigation was marred by biases and unreliable sources, casting doubt on its findings.

The financial aspect of Halper’s involvement raises questions about the use of taxpayer money in such investigations. With millions spent on informants, the efficacy and ethics of these expenditures are under scrutiny. As the documents circulate, public interest in the true nature of the investigation intensifies.

The broader implications of these revelations could impact public trust in federal agencies. The narrative surrounding Crossfire Hurricane serves as a cautionary tale about the potential misuse of power. It also highlights the need for accountability and transparency in government operations.

While the documents provide new insights, they also leave many questions unanswered. The case of Stefan Halper underscores the complexity of intelligence operations and the challenges in maintaining their integrity. As more details emerge, the conversation about oversight and reform continues.

The release of these documents is a significant development in understanding the Crossfire Hurricane investigation. It brings to light the intricate web of informants and the impact of their actions on political narratives. As the story unfolds, the consequences of these revelations remain to be seen.

The involvement of figures like Halper in the political arena highlights the intersection of intelligence and politics. It raises important questions about the roles of informants and their influence on national affairs. The ongoing discourse will likely shape future policies and approaches to intelligence gathering.

KOMMONSENTSJANE – Have You Ever Seen a Democrat Who Approved Anything That Helped the People and the U.S? DOGE/MUSK Proved They Don’t…

04/15/2025

When we finish in D.C. with DOGE auditing each department – we should expand DOGE’s auditing in each STATE – starting with the Democrat states so that each state will be on board with the D.C. departments.

Therefore, all of the country will have been audited and start with a clean slate.

04/13/2025

The lefties are mad because DOGE tore up their play house.

The Democrats have never been good at turning anything they touch into good. Ask President Trump!

The Democrats felt comfortable as long as they had the government in their hands and taking the country to the cleaners. After DOGE found them out and they lost their CASH COW – they became very indignant and still are.

As a voter, I will always be indebted to Mr. Musk for exposing the Democrats. The Democrats will go down in history as the MOST CORRUPT people in history.

It was amazing to read and watch him take the government apart as DOGE did – one by one.

He did not have to do this and be in the position the Democrats put him in. He is a patriot.

May God Bless him in his future/endeavors. Many of us will be routing for him to be even more successful. The left doesn’t look what he has done for humanity – only their own selfish desires.

In a rare show of vulnerability, the outgoing head of the Department of Government Efficiency, Elon Musk, has admitted that running the agency has taken a massive toll on him. Responding to a poll showing his low approval ratings, the Tesla CEO revealed that he has “‘at times” been “digging my own grave way better than my enemies do

Musk, 53, made the shocking post on X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter, in response to the poll posted by Nate Silver. “The inevitable outcome of having a political propaganda war waged against me,” wrote Musk. “I have almost no countervailing campaign and, at times, digging my own grave way better than my enemies do.”

The post seemed to divide several denizens of the internet. Several of which were critical of Musk, while others seemed sympathetic.

“I think your numbers would be much higher if it weren’t for the salute,” one person wrote, referring the alleged incident of Musk doing the Nazi salute during Donald Trump’s inauguration in January. “Maybe becoming a catturd reply guy was a bad move,” a second person stated.

“People don’t like cybertruck-shaped ketamine addicts as much as you thought,” a third person commented. “btw you suck at video games.”

(Dismiss the poll – Silver is a Democrat and we know their polls are skewed.)

Other people tried to offer the billionaire some support. “It’s a good thing you don’t care what people think about you,” a person chimed in. “Acknowledging the damage/disruption to real people that are the collateral damage would go a long way in repairing your public image,” a second person consoled. “Cuts are hard, cuts are needed. But being kind during these troubling times is sorely needed.”

“Hang in there, Elon,” a third person professed. “We need you and we love ya.” The love for the SpaceX owner comes as he faces the end of his time in the Trump Administration. The post seemed to divide several denizens of the internet

A contingent of 77 Democratic lawmakers has reportedly urged the White House to set a May 30 deadline for Musk, who officials surrounding President Trump have raised alarm over amid claims he is “‘high,”to wrap up his involvement with the administration.

Musk’s roles have been described in varying terms as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), an advisor to President Donald Trump, and a “special government employee.” Should Musk, whose relationship with Trump appears to have taken a dive after the US President claimed he ‘doesn’t need him, be classified as the latter, federal regulations limit the tenure of special government employees to a maximum of 130 days. The love for the SpaceX owner comes as he faces the end of his time in the Trump Administration.

The legislators, spearheaded by Rep. Greg Casar (D-TX), delineated in their missive to the president that Musk has leveraged his “special government employee” status to boost his own wealth, all while chopping billions from the national budget and affecting essential services. A letter delivered on Wednesday and revealed by Axios read: “In his short time in government, Elon Musk has done enormous harm to working Americans,” asserting, “Musk’s reckless destruction of government agencies has led to everything from seniors having challenges accessing Social Security to veterans losing access to care at VA hospitals.”

(Just another Democrat who is mad about losing his cash cow.)

The document also throws light on possible conflicts of interest concerning the hefty federal contracts secured by Musk’s SpaceX. The members of Congress expressed their demand crisply: “We demand that you stop ignoring federal law and ethics rules to empower an unelected billionaire.”
