MSNBC contributor Mike Barnicle dismissed the spectacle, saying, “Well, it’s great theater that we just saw. Cory Booker, a good guy, standing up and yelling on the floor of the United States Senate… What I don’t understand is he’s yelling at two other Democrats. The Democrats have enough problems in this country defining themselves to people, making sure people know they are alive, they are interested in your life, they are interested in you, solving problems.”
Former Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill admitted that Booker’s antics were nothing more than pandering to the far-left base, stating, “Here’s what’s going on. The Democratic base is starving for a fighter. They’re starving for a fight… They want people to fight Donald Trump, because everyone is so frustrated and angry and depressed at everything he’s doing and how he’s doing it.”

Newly revealed evidence on Trump-Russia hoax could be more ‘explosive’ than anything before seen, says Hannity
FBI Director Kash Patel called out the left-wing media Saturday for labeling him a liar over his discovery of a trove of sensitive documents related to the origins of the Trump-Russia probe buried in multiple “burn bags” in a secret room inside the bureau.
Sources previously told Fox News Digital the “burn bag” system is used to destroy documents designated as classified or higher.
Sources also said multiple burn bags were found and filled with thousands of documents. One document FBI officials found in a burn bag, sources said, was the classified annex to former special counsel John Durham’s final report, which includes the underlying intelligence he reviewed.
Patel addressed the burn bags on X, reminding people of what he proved in 2017 and 2018.
“In 2017/18, I proved the Steele Dossier was fictitious intelligence, weaponized by corrupt FBI officials to deceive a federal judge and unlawfully spy on then presidential candidate Trump’s campaign – all paid for by his opponent,” the FBI director said. “The media called me a liar.
“Now I’m the FBI Director: We just uncovered burn bags/room filled with Russia Gate files, including the Durham annex, and declassified them,” Patel continued. “Once again, I released the prior FBI’s own documents and exposed the truth. The same media is calling me a liar again. Maybe this FBI will release more docs directly, from FBI HQ…so we can see who is lying – wouldn’t want to deprive the fake news of more bogus Pulitzers.”
The declassification of the classified annex is being done in close coordination between CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Patel, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Attorney General Pam Bondi and acting National Security Agency Director William Hartman.
The declassified annex will be transmitted to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, who ultimately will release the document to the public.
Patel, in a June interview with podcast host Joe Rogan, revealed that he found a room full of documents and computer hard drives “that no one had ever seen or heard of.”
“Just think about this,” Patel told Rogan. “Me, as director of the FBI, the former ‘Russiagate guy,’ when I first got to the bureau, found a room that Comey and others hid from the world in the Hoover Building, full of documents and computer hard drives that no one had ever seen or heard of. Locked the key and hid access and just said, ‘No one’s ever gonna find this place.'”
Patel and his staff have been working through the documents, some of which are related to sensitive investigations, including the FBI’s original Trump–Russia probe, known inside the bureau as Crossfire Hurricane.
It is unclear what the latest documents cover specifically, but sources told Fox News Digital that the most recent discovery was pursuant to an investigative request from Grassley.
Patel has turned the documents over to Grassley.
Grassley has been requesting information related to Durham’s probe. Durham was appointed after then-special counsel Robert Mueller completed his years-long investigation into the origins of the Trump–Russia probe — including intelligence community m=alfeasance during and in the aftermath of the 2016 election.
Sources told Fox News Digital that Grassley’s team is now reviewing the underlying information as part of its investigative work.
As for the other records, Patel’s staff is working to turn them over to Congress pursuant to investigative requests by committees of jurisdiction.

Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, the former Director of National Intelligence, called on the FBI to check recently discovered burn bags filled with classified documents related to Russiagate for fingerprints.
“ALL OF THESE BURN BAG DOCUMENTS WILL HAVE FINGERPRINTS ON THESE DOCUMENTS,” Flynn posted on social media on Thursday.

Fox News reported Thursday that the burn bags filled with classified documents were in a previously unknown sensitive compartmented information facility, or SCIF, at FBI headquarters.
A classified annex to a report on Russiagate written by former special counsel John Durham was among those documents. The annex included the intelligence reviewed by Durham.
“Ultimately, the release of the classified annex will lend more credibility to the assertion that there was a coordinated plan inside the U.S. government to help the Clinton campaign stir up controversy connecting [President Donald] Trump to Russia,” Fox quoted a source as saying.
“Mere days after this intelligence was collected, the FBI launched Crossfire Hurricane. It’s really hard to see how Brennan, Clapper and Comey are going to be able to explain this away,” the source said, referring to former CIA chief John Brennan, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and former FBI Director James Comey.
Crossfire Hurricane was the investigation the FBI launched in July 2016 to determine whether the Donald Trump campaign was colluding with Russia to impact the outcome of the presidential election.
In June of this year, Patel told podcast host Joe Rogan about finding a room full of documents and computer equipment “that no one had ever seen or heard of.”
“Just think about this,” Patel recounted. “Me, as director of the FBI, the former ‘Russiagate guy,’ when I first got to the bureau, found a room that Comey and others hid from the world in the Hoover Building, full of documents and computer hard drives that no one had ever seen or heard of. Patel played a pivotal role, while serving as senior counsel on the House Select Committee on Intelligence under then-Chairman Rep. Devin Nunes, of uncovering that the Democratic National Committee and the 2016 Hillary Clinton presidential campaign had funded the Steele Dossier. The FBI used that document to obtain warrants from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court to spy on Trump’s campaign.
By his own admission in 2019, Comey signed at least “two or three” of the FISA warrant applications.
Patel’s instincts told him, based on his time as a federal prosecutor before working for Nunes, that the FBI’s FISA warrant application (which relied heavily on the dossier) did not pass muster.
“Having done FISAs myself, I was like, ‘This might be one of the worst documents I’ve ever seen,’” Patel said in the 2020 documentary film “The Plot Against the President.”
Patel told Nunes the best way to get to the bottom of it was to follow the money regarding the creation of the Steele Dossier by subpoenaing bank records. Nunes approved the move, which led to Patel discovering the DNC and Clinton campaign were behind it.
Flynn is right. The burn-bag documents should be fingerprinted to find out exactly who at the FBI was involved in Russiagate.
