Fetterman is only trying to bring the two of them back to the Constitution since they have lost their way.

Something I think needs to be re-defined about voting on bills in the Congress/Senate. It seems the Republicans/Democrats don’t understand – when a bill is voted on – the consensus should be “what is the best way to vote for the good of the country.” But, AOC/Sanders don’t see it that way – their vote is always to be combatant and choosing sides or what hurts the country/people the worst. Look what they have done to our country for 12 years of Democrat rule – the size of the debt doesn’t seem to matter to them. Sanders/AOC don’t give a damn what is good for the people/country – but what makes the Democratic Party meet their goals of being re-elected as a communist/progressive.

We need some new blood in the Democratic Party who want what’s best for the people/country instead of their re-election.

Bernie Sanders/AOC can’t seem to understand – they lost BIGLY as progressives/communists. Didn’t she back HAMAS/Columbia University? There is no room at the Inn for terrorists.

They lost and are having a hard time finding their place in the sun – so the only thing left is – let’s fight harder instead of both of them trying to help the Republicans pick up the pieces of the country they looted and help the Republicans FIX the country they destroyed. Self-righteous doesn’t work in the game of eating crow.

Voters need to replace these two worn-out souls who don’t fit in the halls of the Constitution.

John Fetterman continued his war of words with fellow Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez after she demanded that the party ‘fight harder’ against Donald Trump.  

The Pennsylvania Senator has attempt to pivot to being a maverick in the mold of John McCain since Trump won re-election, meeting with the president and largely refusing to publicly criticize him. 

Ocasio-Cortez has instead attempted to reanimate the party’s base, co-headlining a tour of swing districts with Vermont socialist and mentor Bernie Sanders

The New York ‘squad’ founder appeared to take a shot at Fetterman and nine other Democrats who voted to approve the Republican continuing resolution to avoid a government shutdown in a speech in Las Vegas Thursday.

‘This isn’t just about Republicans. We need a Democratic Party that fights harder for us, too,’ she said. 

Fetterman dismissed the criticism in a post to social media on Friday. 

‘Fight ‘harder’ – a stunt that would have harmed millions and plunged us into chaos. We kept our government open. Deal with it,’ the Senator said.

Ocasio-Cortez did not endorse a candidate in the primary but did back Fetterman in the general, something she appears to be having second thoughts about based on a tweet to Lamb earlier Friday.

Responding to a post where Lamb slammed Fetterman for his vote, she wrote: ‘I was wrong about you and I’m sorry,’ adding the crying emoji.

She asked: ‘Where do I submit my Conor Lamb apology form?’

Fetterman, in general, has pushed back on his own caucus’ approach to the continuing resolution and accused Senate Democrats of ‘theater’ to save face.

‘Shut the government down, plunge the country into chaos, risk a recession,’ Fetterman posted on X. ‘or Exchange cloture for a 30 day CR that 100% fails.’

‘The House GOP CR will then pass the Senate because it only needs 51 votes. Total theater is neither honest with constituents nor a winning argument,’ the senator added.

The senator’s break from his party comes as he has been floated by some as a potential presidential candidate in 2028, with Bill Maher recently calling for him to run, saying ‘Democrats need to find their Trump.’

  • Markets have not yet factored in the impact of mass cuts in government spending, ‘The Big Short’ investor Danny Moses said. He told Fortune the Department of Government Efficiency’s cuts have jeopardized private contractors, small businesses, and the labor market. “It’s not as simple as just, ‘We think there’s fraud, let’s cut waste, let’s cut expenses,’” he said.

Investor Danny Moses, best known for his oracular bet against mortgage-backed debt before the 2008 stock market crash, is warning of another economic red flag. 

The founder of Moses Ventures made famous by the book-turned-movie “The Big Short” cautioned the market has not yet accounted for the negative economic impact of the mass cuts to government jobs carried out by the Elon Musk-championed Department of Government Efficiency.

“I think we are underestimating the impact to the economy of the cuts we’re making at the federal government, and what that might mean [for] the knock-on effects into the economy,” Moses said in a CNBC “Power Lunch” interview on Thursday. “We’re hurting the revenue side of the equation.”

“I think we are being overly optimistic [as to] how this is going to play out,” he added.

President Donald Trump’s administration has fired more than 24,000 federal workers, according to court documents, many of whom expect difficulty finding private sector jobs due to the specificity of their expertise. An additional 75,000 employees took a deferred resignation opportunity, which allowed them to receive pay and benefits through September. DOGE’s Wall of Receipts claims to have eliminated $115 billion in government spending—though the veracity of its alleged savings are under fire from experts.

The administration’s whipsaw on tariffs has sown further uncertainty in the markets, leading companies to reassess their plans. Meanwhile, Federal Reserve chair Jerome Powell has left interest rates untouched while the policy plays out. 

An ‘unvirtuous cycle’

Moses argued investors are already beginning to see disruptions in consumer confidence—which last month saw its steepest drop in four years—and will continue to hear similar trends in upcoming earnings calls. These slowdowns have yet to be priced into the market, he said.

“It’s not as simple as just, ‘We think there’s fraud, let’s cut waste, let’s cut expenses,’” Moses told Fortune. “And it’s not just about the federal workers, and it’s not just about the expenses out of those programs. It’s about the contracts with the private sector.”

The tell-tale signs of the weakening economy will be seen in small businesses and “private contractors that are doing legitimate work services that are now being forced to make decisions on their business,” Moses said.

The government spent about $759 billion on contracts in fiscal 2023, an increase of about $33 billion from the year before, with about $171.5 billion going to small businesses, according to the U.S. Government Accountability Office. Musk’s own companies receive at least $20 billion in government contracts.

DOGE’s mass cuts have already begun to jeopardize major contracts. Accenture chief executive Julie Spellman Sweet told investors Thursday its Federal Services business, representing 8% of global revenue, lost U.S. government contracts as part of DOGE’s review. The consultancy’s share price tumbled 7.3% following the announcement.

The elimination of both federal jobs and contracts creates what Moses called an “unvirtuous cycle.” As more fired federal workers look for private sector jobs, they may find fewer opportunities because of shrinking revenue streams in government contracts.

Federal workers’ luck in the job market

Indeed, beyond the purgatory of government contracts, the economy will also have to contend with tens of thousands of federal workers reentering the labor market. Many of those former government employees will encounter an environment that is stable, but has wildly different prospects based on the skillsets of those newly unemployed, Cory Stahle, an economist for Indeed’s Hiring Lab, told Fortune.

“Can the labor market absorb these workers?” Stahle said. “We’re not quite sure if it can.”

Healthcare jobs are currently abundant—good news for about 16% of the federal workforce in health-related fields, according to the Pew Research Center—but many other white-collar jobs, particularly in tech and data science, are scarce. Because many fired federal employees are educated, they may be looking for traditional knowledge worker jobs that don’t exist at the moment, Stahle said.

One of the reasons the markets may not have yet factored in the impact of the firings is the  lag in government data. While the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported about 10,000 fewer federal government jobs in February, the survey period for the report likely ended before many of the firings were carried out. 

“Employers seem to be really frozen, by the uncertainty around what’s going to happen around tariffs, what’s going to happen with labor supply, immigration, then obviously, what’s going to happen with these federal workers,” Stahle said. “There’s a lot of uncertainty that’s playing in right now that we’re not fully able to quantify.”

Should a substantive number of federal workers fail to find new jobs, spending will likely slow, a not-insignificant hit to a U.S. economy made up nearly 70% of consumer spending, Callie Cox, chief market strategist at Ritholtz Wealth Management, wrote in a February blog post.

“The economy is indisputably made up of people and their wallets,” she said. “Disrupt our spending, and growth will sputter, no matter how worthy you think the cause of the disruption is.”

The audit is finding and adjusting those findings to help our country.

Sure, the left doesn’t like what is being revealed and the adjustments being made – because it broke up their PLAY HOUSE and took away their CANDY STORE. Whether they like it or not – we must stop all of the badgering and finish the job.

Look how many years they rode President Trump’s back and now they are picking on Mr. Musk. We should all be happy that we have someone smarter than the crooks.

Tesla Springs Last-Minute Public All Hands on Staffers – Business Insider

Elon Musk tweeted a link to the event at 9:45 p.m. ET.

The event began streaming at 9:58 p.m. and ended at 11:00 p.m. ET. Musk’s private jet arrived in Austin just two hours before he addressed workers in the Texas Gigafactory.

Musk spent the first half of the hour-long call providing updates on Tesla, touching on the company’s safety record, delivery figures, and its progress in autonomous driving and robotics.

He then spent the rest of the session taking questions from his employees.

Tesla has been facing headwinds in recent months. The carmaker’s stock is down more than 37% year-to-date and a series of protests have erupted across Tesla sales and service centers over the past few weeks.

“If you read the news, it feels like armageddon. I can’t walk past the TV without seeing a Tesla on fire. What’s going on?” Musk said on Thursday night.

“Listen, I understand if you don’t want to buy our product, but you don’t have to burn it down. That’s a bit unreasonable,” he continued.

Musk also talked about Tesla’s autonomous driving ambitions during the meeting, saying that self-driving will unlock the company’s true value.

“It’s very difficult for people in the stock market — especially those that look in the rear-view mirror, which is most people — to imagine a future where suddenly a 10 million vehicle fleet has five to 10 times the usefulness,” Musk told his workers.

“So what I am saying is, ‘Hang on to your stock,'” Musk added.

A spokesperson for Tesla did not respond to a request for comment.

What To Know

One of the most high-profile cases involves the recent deportation of more than 200 Venezuelan migrants to El Salvador. The White House and Department of Justice have alleged that all the men have ties to the violent Tren de Aragua gang.

Another case involves Trump’s effort to ban transgender people from serving in the military. A federal judge recently issued an 80-page preliminary injunction blocking the proposal after deeming it to be factually incorrect, discriminatory and demeaning.

Trump took to Truth Social to vent about “radical left judges,” saying their injunctions “could very well lead to the destruction of our Country!”

The president went on to call judges who block his initiatives “lunatics, who do not care, even a little bit, about the repercussions from their very dangerous and incorrect Decisions and Rulings.”

It’s “the obligation of Law abiding Agencies of Government to have these ‘Orders’ overturned,” Trump said, without specifying any ruling or case. “The danger is unparalleled! These Judges want to assume the Powers of the Presidency, without having to attain 80 Million Votes. They want all of the advantages with none of the risks.”

Trump then singled out the case involving the deportation of Venezuelans. The administration went ahead with the deportations despite the fact that U.S. District Judge James Boasberg had issued a verbal order telling the government to turn the planes carrying the migrants around and come back to the U.S pending further legal proceedings.

“Again, a President has to be allowed to act quickly and decisively about such matters as returning murderers, drug lords, rapists, and other such type criminals back to their Homeland, or to other locations that will allow our Country to be SAFE,” Trump wrote. “It is our goal to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, and such a high aspiration can never be done if Radical and Highly Partisan Judges are allowed to stand in the way of JUSTICE.”

The president then addressed Roberts, who was appointed to the bench by President George W. Bush, and the Supreme Court: “STOP NATIONWIDE INJUNCTIONS NOW, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. If Justice Roberts and the United States Supreme Court do not fix this toxic and unprecedented situation IMMEDIATELY, our Country is in very serious trouble!”

Roberts, meanwhile, issued a rare public statement this week rebuking calls from Trump and his allies to impeach judges who rule against the administration.

“For more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision,” the chief justice said. “The normal appellate review process exists for that purpose.”

What People Are Saying

Trump blasted Boasberg, who has been appointed by Republican and Democrat presidents, in a follow-up Truth Social post: “Judge James Boasberg is doing everything in his power to usurp the Power of the Presidency. He is a local, unknown Judge, a Grandstander, looking for publicity, and it cannot be for any other reason, because his “Rulings” are so ridiculous, and inept. SAVE AMERICA!”

What Happens Next

Boasberg is demanding more information from the government about the timing and other details related to the deportation flights.

The DOJ pushed back on the judge and said in a recent court filing that it’s considering whether to invoke state-secrets privilege, which allows for the exclusion of evidence the government thinks could hurt national security.

In response, Boasberg said Thursday that the Trump administration must submit a sworn declaration from someone involved in those talks by Friday morning. He gave the government until Tuesday to submit another declaration indicating if the government will invoke the privilege.

The judge also said the DOJ must file a brief “showing cause” for why it did not violate his earlier order that the deportation flights turn around and return to the U.S.
