The Republicans have to learn that when a Democrat gets caught in any crime – they are taught to DENY/DENY/DENY and they never stop. It only buys the left time to make the truth seem irrelevant. When is the right going to learn that lesson and not waste time by slapping them in jail and breaking up the street protestors.

Trump Is Cleaning House at DHS and Here Is Exactly What Went Wrong in Minneapolis
Kristi Noem is out. Greg Bovino is out. Tom Homan is in charge.
There’s a reason for that order.
And if you want to understand why Trump’s deportation agenda is about to get dramatically more effective, you need to understand what went wrong in Minnesota.
The Minneapolis Operation Looked Tough. It Wasn’t.
Operation Metro Surge was billed as the largest interior immigration enforcement mobilization in American history.
DHS deployed thousands of agents to Minneapolis. Bovino led sweeps through the streets. Arrests piled up.
The left screamed. Walz declared Minnesota under occupation. The media ran wall-to-wall outrage.
On the surface, it looked like exactly what Trump voters ordered.
It wasn’t.
The fundamental problem wasn’t the protests, the lawsuits, or the two fatal shootings that eventually handed Democrats their political ammunition. The fundamental problem was strategy.
Bovino was running one-off street arrests – scooping up individual illegal aliens who, in many cases, didn’t already have deportation orders.
No deportation order means no immediate removal.
It means detention costs. Court backlogs. Release on bond. And in many cases, the same individual back on the same street weeks later.
Tom Homan’s model is different. Go after illegal aliens who already have final orders of removal. They’ve had their day in court. The legal pathway is clear. You arrest them, you deport them – and they don’t come back.
Bovino’s approach burned through massive manpower and resources to produce arrests that fed the news cycle but didn’t necessarily produce deportations. The left found the footage it needed to build a protest movement. Two people died in confrontations with agents. Noem spent two days getting grilled by Congress.
And Homan got sent in to clean it up.
The Bigger Miss: Nobody Touched the Employers
There’s another conversation the Minneapolis debrief demands – and it’s the one Washington still isn’t having loudly enough.
You can arrest individual illegal aliens every day for a decade and never solve the underlying problem.
They keep coming because American employers keep hiring them – often over American citizens who need those jobs.
Day labor sites. Meatpacking plants. Construction crews. Agriculture operations.
Bovino’s teams raided a Home Depot parking lot in California using a Penske truck as cover. Tactically creative. Strategically shallow. The employers running those operations stayed open the next morning.
E-Verify enforcement, employer raids, criminal referrals for executives who knowingly hire illegal labor – that is how you make it unprofitable to hire illegal aliens in the first place. Homan has spoken about this. Trump’s stated agenda includes it. The question is whether the restructured DHS under Markwayne Mullin makes it an operational priority.
The House Cleaning That Comes Next
Bovino is out. Noem is out – replaced by Mullin, set to take the DHS helm March 31.
Minneapolis is what cost them both their jobs.
Homan – who Mark Morgan says was “literally cut off” from doing his job by Noem and Corey Lewandowski – now has the operational environment he needs.
The left is already spinning Bovino’s retirement and Noem’s firing as a defeat for Trump’s immigration agenda.
They have it exactly backward.
Trump isn’t retreating from mass deportation. He’s replacing the people who were doing it wrong with the people who know how to do it right. Targeted removal of aliens with existing orders. Employer accountability. A DHS chain of command that doesn’t route through advisers with political interests in the outcome.
The Democrats celebrating right now are about to find out that the part of Trump’s deportation agenda that really works hasn’t even started yet.
