However, doubtful Democrats wonder whether the Republican president will honor his commitment, especially after the administration limited SNAP food assistance, despite judicial orders to ensure funding remains available to prevent hunger. Trump, whose initial White House tenure established the prior government shutdown record, is scheduled to meet early Wednesday for breakfast with GOP senators. However, no discussions have been arranged with the Democrats.”
