LETTER: We are not a democracy

Mary Lou Shelton’s attempt (Oct. 4) to once again criticize President Trump falls flat on several fronts. The hypocrisy of Democrats continues to amaze us and reinforces the conclusion that liberalism must be a mental illness. 

The only thing President Trump is doing to silence his critics is stating facts and prosecuting those who spent almost 10 years lying, stealing, cheating and violating the Constitution and the Constitutional rights of President Trump and those around him. 

What gift did Trump receive that he has not been candid about and did not reassign? The laws are there to prevent bribery and special favors. President Trump has proven that he cannot be bribed, extorted or unduly influenced by anyone. 

It is laugh-out-loud hilarious to hear President Trump being called a dictator by socialist Democrats whose party platform is synonymous with tyranny and Marxism. 

All the way back to the 60’s, Democrat protesters, rioters, brick-throwers and property burners have been nothing but masked hoodlums. To now criticize law enforcement for wearing masks to protect the identities of themselves and their families from attacks by Democrat revenge-seekers is the height of hypocrisy. ICE is not a private army. They are a legitimate arm of federal law enforcement doing what the American people want them to do; rid our streets of foreign criminals. ICE will never go after “law-abiding American citizens”. We may reach a point, however, where we start prosecuting socialist Cemocrats for sedition and treason. 

We are not a democracy, Ms. Shelton. I have and unprintable expletive for your concept of democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic with a Federalist form of government. Your party has been trying to destroy it for a century. I have an expletive for that, too. It includes the word “No!”
