Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries was slammed over the weekend for what users believed was a hollow social media post lamenting President Donald Trump’s transition.

“Presidents come and Presidents go. Through it all. God is still on the throne,” Jeffries posted on X Sunday.

The minority leader’s message came after Trump vowed to impose 25% tariffs on Colombia for not accepting a military plane of undocumented citizens, pushing President Gustavo Petro to retaliate with a 50% tariff that would have raised the price of coffee, flowers and tea, among other exports.

Both leaders came to an agreement and rescinded their proposed tariffs by Sunday night.

As the leading Democrat in Washington, social media users were disconcerted by what they interpreted as Jeffries’ hands-off approach to opposing Trump’s ongoing attacks on civil rights since taking office just one week ago.

“This is why Dems lose! God is telling you to take the damn gloves and knuckle up!” one X user posted.

I didn’t hear God say anything, sir. Neither of these people are God.

What was the purpose of these statements?

We all know how the road to religion works. Some folks walk the religion road and some don’t. Mr. Jeffries walks his as one religion and others walk in multiple other religions. The world is full of various religions that people profess.

Rep Jeffries needs to understand that he doesn’t need to preach to the citizens of this country. He needs to keep his religion/politics as a politician in its proper place. His religion is based on one book and some of us use another and that is okay.

When Jeffries joined the ranks of the government – it was through the Constitution. During the Biden administration it ruled the government under a rogue divided government which was against the principles of the Constitution which needs to be clarified and Biden/Pelosi/Obama must be held accountable.

With the election of President Trump, the citizens have voted to plug into a correction to bring the country back to values and merit rather than the woke phase.

Doesn’t the money state, God Bless America.
