The town is dressed for the holidays and the Christmas tree at the Court House is spectacular.

A good job by the folks who did the decorating and as a citizen, I am so proud.

City of Kerrville announces Holiday Lighted Parade winners

KERRVILLE, Texas – A central Texas tradition just celebrated its 23rd year and is giving its attendees something to celebrate, too!

On Nov. 23, crowds gathered for the Holiday Lighted Parade and Courthouse Tree Lighting Ceremony, ringing in the Holiday season!

The event saw organizations, non-profits, and local businesses take to the streets in beautifully lit parade floats and carriages, bringing festive cheer to the hill country community.

The Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department awarded the following attendees for their performance:

  • Commercial: JM Masonry
  • Non-Profit: Kerrville Pets Alive
  • Marching: Carquest
  • Youth: C3 Swim

Entries were judged for their creativity, illumination, and overall presentation. The first-place winners were each treated to a $150 cash prize.

Kerrville urges visitors to visit “Light The Island” on Tranquility Island, with decorated trees and festive lights and decorations to bring the holiday spirit to Louise Hays Park and the River Trail.

Merry Christmas to all!
