Colin Kaepernick Puts NFL Teams On Blast For Their lame “Excuses” For Not Signing Him

Kap also suggested that teams aren’t staying away from him due to football-related reasons and the fact that he has been unable to land a contract stems from his national anthem protests.
“I’ve heard a lot of excuses over the years,” he told the publication, “but most of the time it ends up, ‘Oh, we’re going to see how the guys that we have do.’ With the Raiders’ situation last year, that was Stidham and Nick Mullens, which to me, you just compare résumés and capabilities, on top of the workout and the feedback, it’s like, ‘O.K., cool.’
“Obviously, there’s something else within this decision. To me, that’s typically what it ends up being, or has been for the last seven years. So, I just want the opportunity to come in, show what I can do on the field. Judge me based upon that, not the political bias that you have.”
Given that Tom Brady just retired at 45 and was still one of the best quarterbacks in the league when he stepped away from the game, Colin still has lots of time to prove he can contribute to a team in the NFL.
He certainly believes he has what it takes. It’s just down to whether there’s an NFL GM out there who shares his view.
