In response to the letter, “Requiring IDs is not voter suppression,” March 25, page C8, the author states that the move to institute a permanent universal mail-in-vote will create a dilution of the “voting rights of Massachusetts citizens”. I disagree, and say the move created an inclusion to this sacred process. A pillar of inclusion is “attitude,” the look at how people are willing to embrace inclusion and diversity and take meaningful action. Every election prior 2020 the main takeaway was low voter turnout. The pandemic crisis did create a need for meaningful action, making the expansion on how registered voters could cast their vote was a success. High voter turnout did not only happen in Massachusetts, but nationally.

When you say “dilute” the vote of the citizens, you probably mean that the majority of the electorate voted against your candidate.
